Outstanding tour. Eye opening experience that everyone that visits Nairobi should see. It’s heartbreaking & heartwarming at the same time. Kibera is a place that really makes you stop and think. Walking through Nairobi’s Kibera informal settlement, I saw how difficult everyday life can be—crowded housing, limited access to clean water and sanitation, unemployment, poverty, and very few resources. Yet what struck me most was that Kibera is so much more than hardship. It’s a community filled with families, businesses, schools, artists, and people working incredibly hard to create better lives. I explored Kibera with Kevin’s Kibera Slum Tours, and having a guide who was born and raised here made a huge difference. Kevin shares his own story, introduces visitors to local families and businesses, and takes guests to places including a school/orphanage, bonecraft workshop, biogas project, market and his family home. Most importantly, his tour gives back: booking profits help support the local community and send children to school, and Kevin says he has rescued street children and volunteers with the school.

Kevin was AMAZING! He and his brother provided so much education about the Kibera Slums. I did a private tour with 2 friends. Wear good closed toe walking shoes as there is some hiking involved. Everyone was so friendly. The kids are absolutely adorable and you can tell they really love their schools and education. I will recommend his tours to everyone interested in learning about how the slums came to be & current life in the slums.

An incredible day with our family of 5 (50, 49, 20, 19, 17). Setup was easy and convenient, communication throughout was excellent. The experience was one our family will never forget. Truly unique. We were hesitant that would feel unsafe but we were secure the entire time. Higjly Recommend!

This tour was awesome and real eye-opener. Highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience something different. Kevin and his brother (Ishmael? Dont know the spelling) were professional, knowledgeable, very entertaining, and with high customer service skills. The only thing that was disappointing was booked a private tour in which in reality (in my opinion) it is a group tour if another group books on the same day as you go everywhere with them. However, that being said, it was truly a fantastic tour and I highly recommend this to everybody.

Fanatic tour around the Kibera Slum in Nairobi. Visiting the school children was a massive highlight. So many smiling faces. Kevin and his brother did an amazing tour with providing lots of information about the different communities within the slum. The bone workshop was very interesting - and the team were great fun!
