The Holoholo Charters Sunset Catamaran Cruise was one of the highlights of our Kauai trip! From the moment we booked, everything was seamless. Communication was excellent, with detailed arrival and check-in instructions sent by both email and phone. The check-in staff was friendly and welcoming, and the captain gave a thorough and reassuring safety briefing before we departed. The captain and crew were outstanding—professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely fun to be around. They took time to chat with guests throughout the cruise, answer questions, and share interesting information about the Na Pali Coast, creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The ride to the Na Pali Coast took a little while, but once we arrived, every minute was worth it. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, with spectacular sea cliffs, waterfalls, and incredible views both from a distance and up close. As we cruised back, we paused just before sunset to toast with champagne while watching the sun dip below the horizon—such a memorable ending to the evening. The soundtrack of mostly '60s and '70s rock was the perfect bonus! The food was surprisingly delicious, especially considering it was prepared and served on a moving catamaran. There was plenty of seating, both outside and in the covered cabin, so it was easy to find a comfortable spot. One thing to know is that the ocean can be a bit bumpy, and moving around while underway requires holding onto the rails. Fortunately, there were plenty of handholds throughout the boat, and we always felt safe. We would absolutely do this cruise again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kauai!

Be prepared for all weather, bring a towel, get ready for epic views! Crew and Captain K were fantastic!

I think this is a must do on Kauai but don't go if you are prone to motion sickness. My wife and I had a great time but saw a few others not doing so well. We saw some bottlenose dolphins, one with a baby, also got some amazing rainbows plus and amazing sunset on the trip.

Very reputable operator. Punctual, entertaining and attentive. Communication is excellent and they make an effort to ensure that everyone is satisfied. Highly recommend.

Amazing trip and the food was delicious. The music was great and I was able to get a sing a long started. Great, fun, and accommodating crew! Favorite trip during our visit.

We absolutely loved our experience with Holu Holu charters. We saw spinner dolphins! We were well informed of the rough conditions due to weather and waves so we were able to prepare! Definitely take Dramamine before so you can relax and unwind on board. Captain, Selma and Noah were great hosts and everyone had fun the whole time! Oh…. And did I mention you get to see the coast at sunset?!!

Captain Glen, Noah, and Selma were all great on the cruise. We saw dolphin, seal, turtles, and a goat as well as the Na Pali Coast and a beautiful Kauai sunset. The food was really good as well as were the local beers and Mai Tai. This experience was well worth the money.

The crew did a great job on this tour. We felt the captain did a nice job balancing music with informational explanations of what we were seeing. The views of the Napoli coast were AMAZING, and many would not be possible to view except by boat. The food was good and the crewmembers were helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. If you get seasick, definitely take Dramamine or something similar.

My husband, 8 year old daughter, my mother, and I all went on this tour together. The Trip Advisor information differed a bit from the Holoholo Charter information, and I was very glad to have called the company day of the trip to check for more specifics. Trip Advisor sent an email that we needed to meet at 3:00pm, and the actual meeting time was 3:45pm - do yourself a favor and check the info with the charter because we were there super early. There is some good shopping around, though, that we took advantage of while we waited. This is a barefoot cruise, vegetarian friendly, and while there is no snorkeling, you will get wet! The boat goes pretty fast, and the waves kick up a good bit of water. Bring a towel or a light jacket so that you can be warm on the way back. Wear sunscreen! If you have any tendency for motion sickness, plan ahead and take some anti-nausea medication about an hour before and bring some ginger candy or chews for the trip. Why is this boat cruise so great? The playlist for the cruise is epic, and we all had an awesome time! The crew was super friendly and helpful. Overall, this was a great trip for all four of us, aged from 8 years old to 70. My mom has been on many Napali cruises, and she said this one was the best she had ever been on! I've been on one other, and I would have to agree.
