We did the Manaslu trek as well as the Kathmandu city tours. Our trek with Gokyo treks and Expeditions was an absolutely wonderful success because of our superb guide, Bharat, assisted by our generous and enthusiastic porters, Neel and Chandra, and the support of Ammar (the company owner). There were a lot of moving parts that needed to be addressed, we had an excellent team and I will never forget the kindness, care and guidance I received throughout the trek. We were a group of four people, all with differing needs, abilities and goals - Bharat addressed them all. Most difficult was the intestinal issues that cropped up but we were supported and nursed back to health, coached forward and led to some of the most beautiful places I’ve ever experienced. We were constantly surrounded by absolutely gorgeous mountains, waterfalls, people and places. I had to keep pinching myself to remind myself that it was all real. Granted, we did have perfect weather in October and I made sure to never take any of our auspicious days for granted. Thank you SO much to Bharat for making it all happen. This was an experience I will never forget. 🙏🏻

Hello, we booked a trek to Annapoorna Base Camp with Ammar from Goyko Treks and Expedition for early October 2025. It was a wonderful trekking tour, and Ammar and his team did everything possible to ensure we had a fantastic time. Ammar was always available, responded promptly, and organized everything perfectly according to our wishes. We would book a trip to Nepal with him again at any time.

Prior to arriving Nepal, I liaised with Ammar (Owner) via email and WhatsApp and all his responses were prompt and concise. I booked day tours around Kathmandu Valley and the rates were affordable. On Day 1 after I checked into my hotel, Ammar was waiting for me at the lobby to discuss the itineraries. We agreed to keep it flexible and every night before the tour he would update me the time, location, guide and driver’s details. Do take note the day tours do not pack lunch, snacks or water, you either bring your own or let the guide know to stop along the way. I would like to thank Ashish and Ammar for doing their best to accommodate my needs and returning me safely to the hotel or whichever location I requested to be dropped off. Ashish and I also did an impromptu visit to a prayer ceremony happening in a town and shared a local dessert which was a nice experience. He was patient, encouraging, and helped me up some of the challenging inclines. Thank you both and see you again!

We worked with Ammar in the months coming up to our trip. We worked out the details in advance and customized our trek to our liking. Our first full day in Nepal, We did a Kathmandu city tour with Ammar. He was friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the sites we visited, he spoke English very well which was reassuring I'm a country we didn't speak the language. He also introduced us to Kamal our guide for Pikey Peak Trek. The next day Kamal and Lakpa our porter, arrived early at it hotel with a Jeep service to depart on our trek. Kamal took care of everything along the trek, he was extremely professional, knowledgeable about Nepalli culture, was an expert on the Trek route, and helped us every step of the way. Lakpa was also friendly, and a very strong porter, he also helped us along the way. This was our first time in Nepal and GokyoTreksNepal team made us feel safe and confident. We got to know Kamal on the trek as well and he is a great guy. Unfortunately we ran into some challenges along the way with the weather and we're unable to finish the planned route to to deep snow making a section unpassable. We worked with Kamal and he gave us 3 alternate route options all were great and we chose the return route that worked best for our schedule and physical abilities. Upon return to Kathmandu, we had several other activities booked through other vendors, 2 of the suppliers cancelled on us or were no shows. We worked with Ammar to schedule another tour with his company since we were so happy with the service. Our final fill day in Nepal we again had the pleasure of having Ammar as our guide where we did a day hike of Shivipuri National Park. Again the weather was not cooperative for views, but Ammar took us through the park, it was misty and a bit rainy, but we did get to see a lot of the native plants and wildlife in the park including birds, monkeys, and wild boar. When I return to Nepal, I will only be working with Ammar and his team to schedule all of my activities. I was so happy with the professionalism, friendliness, and helpfulness from Ammar, Kamal, and Lakpa. Despite our poor luck with the weather, this team ensured we had an incredible experience.

We booked through Gokyo Treks Nepal for a 3 day visit to Kathmandu. Our guide was Ammar and he took us on a wonderful tour of the city. We began the tour with a shuttle to the airport where Ammar introduced himself, gave us the itinerary for the tour, and allowed us to settle in. The next day we went on a mountain flight to see Everest, then went on a tour of Kathmandu to multiple religious and historical sights. And on the final day we took a jeep up into the mountains for a hike. The tour was fantastic and a great way to get around the city, see the sights, and experience the culture. In the future we hope to do a true trek with Ammar and the Gokyo Treks team! Ammar was amazing, friendly, and we would absolutely book through him again!

We recently used Gokyo Treks on a 4 day trip to Nepal. We had 2 travel days, 1 day of city/ cultural tourism, and 1 day of hiking. From the moment we stepped off the plane and were greeted by our airport transfer, we knew we made the right choice. Our guide Ammar and all the Gokyo Treks' staff we met were super friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating in creating our personalized tour. The tour itself was top quality and even though short, I feel like I got a true taste of Nepal. I will definitely come back to Nepal and use this company again for a future tour!

The team is very responsive to every question and request i made from the beginning . Just ask them abs they will try to find something for you. Plus the porter guide is prefect for a solo trekker who i can trust.

My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our Kathmandu City Tour with Gokyo Treks. Anmar was fantastic throughout; replying to emails and questions promptly, re-arranging the time at late notice and even meeting us at our hotel to introduce us to our our guide. It was a fantastic introduction to the city (before we headed off trekking), taking in the sights of Pashupati Nath, Swayambhunath (monkey temple), Boudhanath stupa and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Having a local guide made things so much easier and less stressful as he was able to arrange and negotiate better taxi prices, whilst also showing us sights and giving us information that we would have otherwise missed. Overall, I'd highly recommend Anmar and Gokyo Treks' Kathmandu City Tour. N.B. Taxis and admission to attractions is not included in the price of the guide.

I had a personal tour of the key sites of Kathmandu. A very informative and friendly tour guide, backed up with taxi driver for the day. The sites were incredible and I really enjoyed the expert knowledge from the friendly guide. I wouldn't hesitate recommending this fantastic tour to anyone!
