We had a blast! Smooth communication from the point of booking to the day of. Tanya picked us up promptly from our resort and was absolutely charming. We were the only two people from the UK (everyone else was Dutch) but we were made to feel very welcome regardless. Gijs was our guide and also our driver (if you’re from the UK you aren’t allowed to drive a vehicle yourself - this wasn’t entirely clear however I would argue it was more enjoyable as we didn’t have rugged terrain to contend with first-hand!). We had some insightful and amusing chats with him while driving and he briefed us prior to each stop in English before addressing the rest of the group in Dutch, so we knew what was going on. Some points during the drive were a bit hair-raising but we packed our sense of humour/adventure and threw ourself into it, and so had a great time. The taverna lunch was rustic and authentic, and the coffee shop/olive oil factory shops were very reasonably priced/optional to buy things, so we didn’t feel pressured/shepherded into tourist traps. We didn’t hire a car during our time on Crete, so this was an ideal way to explore the island and learn more about the people who live here and their way of life. Additionally, as a same-sex couple we’re slightly wary about what excursions we opt to do when abroad, but we were made to feel safe and welcome at all times. Highly recommend!

Best day trip to the mountains of Crete with our guide Jason. Great info and sense of humour. We were surprised by how much he shared with us. Fabulous tasting and the lunch was superb. Would highly recommend

A top-notch day discovering Crete! The guide is full of energy and passionate about what he does. We were able to visit several sites (cave-chapel-villages etc....) far from the island's dream beaches. The mountain scenery is magnificent and the route is breathtaking. BRAVO and THANK YOU

A superb day in a jeep. A ride along the ridge paths, magnificent view, visit to an olive oil factory, lunch in a small Cretan village. Highly recommended +++ An excellent French guide. 😁

A very nice experience. This is how you discover the real Crete. Great guidance from Gijs and Tanya. Very enthusiastic people with a lot of humor. Definitely recommended for those who want to get to know the authentic Crete.

Disappointed, just a small 4X4 to share among four people; given the number of vehicles available, it would be wise to allow only 2 people per vehicle instead of 4.

Lovely trip in the mountains, with 6 'new' Dutch friends and our extremely knowledgable guide Sotiris. Beautiful views, plenty of stops to take it all in. Cheese making was educational. Lunch at Zorba's was delightful, and learned so much of the history and culture of the island. Highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We chose the jeep safari, there were four of us. Truly, both of us were amazed by this wild ridge far from the large hotels. Thank you to Taïna and Yves for showing us another side of the island in the heart of nature and mountain villages. Taïna and Yves taught us about the culture, the life of the Cretans, the history of the ridge, and their fauna and flora (and the scents!). The meal was simple but excellent. Thank you to Géraldine for the visit to her olive oil mill and for her explanations. If you pass by there, go for it, it's worth the detour! I am convinced...
