it was so cool to experience the swamp and see the wildlife in it. Our guide Jason was clearly very knowledgeable and felt VERY comfortable navigating the environment. He was an ace at parallel parking the boat, and also knew the place like the back of his hand. He was telling us about the local alligators like they were truly his neighbors, he could identify them by small markings I could barely catch, and he noted to us their usual habits and territories and interactions. Not only was he a great resource on the gators, he also was pointed out bird nests and calls to us and did his best to help us find them as well. I thought it was a good length of time as well. and while they talked about how they used to do this, they NO LONGER feed the gators marshmallows, which is good!! (though he had very funny stories about it.)
Enjoyable tour and a knowledgeable guide of the area’s wildlife. Saw many alligators and more. Beneficial to show up at least 5-10 minutes before tour time.
It was ok. Miss the holding of baby alligator. The tour guide was pretty funny with his jokes. Would do again
Great guide , really friendly and fun . We got to not only see gators but also we were pointed out different birds and other wildlife !
Great tour! Capt. Brent was friendly and knowledgeable. He indulged us by stopping and backing up when we thought we saw something even when he knew nothing was there. Beautiful sights and we saw many gators!
It was definitely worth your money. It was an hour and a half ride. The guide was very funny. Silly kept everybody laughing. He stopped and explained everything he was in no big rush. Overall it was a great experience and I would definitely do it again. I wish it was longer. it was great family fun. It was me my husband and our two children so it’s good solo as a family or as a couple.

If you want to experience the beauty of the Louisiana Swamp I highly recommend taking a swamp tour with Jean Lafitte. This has always been my go to company for family and friends visiting the New Orleans area. I have had Captain Jason a few times and I must admit he provides a tour that doesn’t disappoint. We had a boat filled with passengers who had an amazing adventure because wildlife was so abundant today. We saw many alligators, an owl, an eagle’s nest, birds, a large grasshopper and a dragonfly landed right on my leg. It was the best adventure ever. Jason does an exceptional job of providing information about the swamp and has a great personality. He is also very kind and considerate to the guests. Thanks Jason for being our number 1 Captain! You are a gem!
Darren was our guide he was funny and very knowledgeable about the bayou and the gators and I loved seeing the owls. Had a great time would recommend everyone go on this tour
