サンティアゴ砦は、スペイン人航海士で知事のミゲル・ロペス・デ・レガスピが、フィリピンのマニラに新しく設立された都市のために最初に建設した要塞である。 防衛要塞は、マニラの城壁都市イントラムロスの建造物の一部である。
フィリピンの国民的英雄の一人であるホセ・リサールは、1896年の処刑前にここに投獄された。 リサール神社博物館は、彼らのコレクションにある英雄の記念品と砦の特徴を展示し、彼の独房から実際の処刑の場所への最後の歩行を表す青銅で地面に埋め込まれている。

マニラ1945年記念碑（マニラ1945ねんきねんひ、Memorare – Manila 1945 Monument）は、1945年2月3日から1945年3月3日にかけて、フィリピン軍とアメリカ軍が日本軍に対して行ったマニラ解放のための戦闘で失われた人命を記念するものである。
1607年に完成したローマ・カトリック教会で、スペイン植民地時代に建設された偉大な教会の一つで、ユネスコの世界遺産にも指定されている。フィリピンのバロック教会群と総称される。
カーサ・マニラは、スペインによるフィリピン植民地化時代の植民地生活を描いたイントラムロスにある博物館。 博物館は、石と木の重厚な構造c.1850、バリオサンルイス（イントラムロスの4つの元の村の1つ）のグランドハウスの1つは、歴史的なサンアグスティン教会の向かいに位置し、カレレアル、ヘネラルルナ、カビルド、ウルダネータ通りで区切られています。 他の2つはロス・イダルゴス、1650年頃とクユガン邸、c. 1890.

We enjoyed the tour. Denji was a young chap with superb knowledge of the history of Philippines and was great at explaining the intricacies of the places. We also enjoyed the horse carriage ride and the mango ice cream. I highly recommend this tour.

Incredible tour with a lot of history and good information. It was great to learn so much about the Philippines. I was born in the Angeles City, Philippines and moved to the US when I was 13. It was an amazing experience for me to learn so much our Philippine history. The added Casa Manila at the end was special. It was great to see what a house would have looked like in the olden days. Seeing Manila Carhedral was incredible as we’ve traveled and seen churches all over Europe. The history of Intramuros and Jose Rizal was enlightening. Our tour guide was Denji who was very knowledgeable, passionate about Philippine history, wonderfully hospitable as Filipinos tend to be and enthusiastic! He is accredited by the Department of Tourism. He timed the tour very well. We also got to ride a kalesa (horse drawn like carriage) which is a must do in Manila. We loved learning how Manila got its name. We have since told everyone while we are in the Philippines. DON’T SKIP MANILA tours are a great way to learn about the culture. I agree—- DO NOT SKIP MANILA! Thank you Denji! Salamat! Highly recommend this tour.
Denji was very knowledgeable and excited about sharing the history and information about Intramuros. He made the tour very interesting and well worth our time and money.
This was a great walking tour. Our guide Anne was very knowledgeable about the history of Manila. We all learned so much today about our heritage. Would highly recommend this tour of Intramuros. If we just did the same tour on our own it would not have been nearly as impactful.

Andrei was an excellent tour guide. He really explained the Fort and Intramuros in relation to Philippine history. There was also a calesa ride as well as free Filipino street ice cream and water. It was very enlightening. Intramuros has improved a lot and is worth a visit.

What an excellent tour! Andre is great, friendly, clear in storytelling, and effectively conveyed the history of Intramuros/Fort Santiago. Love the kalesa ride, sorbetes treats! The tour of the dungeons is mind numbing in the sadness they hold...
