I had a brilliant day with Monisha. She met me at the local tube station and was immediately warm and friendly, before taking me to a nearby vegetable shop where she talked me through some of the ingredients on offer - how to choose the freshest ones, what to look for, and different ways they could be used. We then headed back to her kitchen and made four wonderful plant-based dishes, using several ingredients I'd never cooked with before. Throughout the class Monisha shared her knowledge, experiences and plenty of useful tips, which made the whole thing feel relaxed, interesting and very hands-on. A really enjoyable day, and something I'd happily recommend to anyone interested in learning more about Indian cooking and trying some new ingredients and techniques.

I booked a private session with Monisha as I am a historical fiction author developing a book which required insight into Bengali cooking and culture - Monisha devised a specific menu for us to cook and brought her extensive food history and cultural knowledge to our session, allowing me to ask a great many questions as well as having hands-on experience of cooking relevant dishes to my research. It was not only very interesting but a lot of fun and I really appreciated Monisha's time and attention as well as her keen interest in my research and her support in trying to achieve my goals. A real pleasure.

If you want to learn how to cook delicious Indian food, then I recommend you join one of Monisha’s cooking courses. I have done two of her courses so far, and I am looking forward to joining her on her cultural food tour to South India in February 2027. You’re involved in both cooking and preparing the dishes, while also learning about the ingredients, along with useful tips and techniques. I would definitely recommend it!

What a lovely experience! I did the half-day vegetarian/vegan course with my 18yo son. Monisha was lovely from start to finish - incredibly knowledgeable, patient and good fun. Our group had people of all ages and interests and she made it accessible and informative for us all. I loved that she allowed us to make a few "mistakes" along the way - like when she raised a wry eyebrow at the pieces of potato that hadn't cooked evenly because they were different sizes. We learnt loads of top tips about ingredients and cooking, and came home with loads of delicious food and recipes. I fully intend to go back for more!

This was my second course cooking with Monisha - she has deep knowledge of ingredients and indian cookery and I continue to learn many new tricks and tips. We made a few really delicious Fish and seafood dishes. I highly recommend Monisha - the experience was fun, calm and enriching .

Very small class meant that Monisha could give lots of attention to each participant. The whole day was fun and very informative. I was nervous about using spices, but left feeling much more confident. In fact, I’ve put the lesson into practice by making dinner for my nephew who gave a big thumbs up

Thanks for a very enlightening course. I have already put the lesson to use and impressed my family with my newfound knowledge of spices and sauces! Monisha is an entertaining tutor but also very diligent and instructive. Her passion for Indian food shines through. She's especially good at making less experienced curry cooks feel completely at ease! I would wholeheartedly recommend her courses.

We had a great time learning how easy and simple it is to prepare a meal. Monisha was wonderful and so inviting. She keeps a clean place and accessible for us to work around. Plus, the food we prepared then eat was delicious. We walked away with a desire to prepare this food at home once we get there.

I have attended 2 courses now and completed online courses, really enjoyed every one . I learned such in a relaxed friendly atmosphere . Monisha is lovely and takes you through each step with such knowledge . Xx
