I contacted Polylepis Tours because I wanted to visit Cajas national park from Cuenca and at first was offered to join the group tour, after reviewing the details I understood it wasn't exactly what I was going for, I was looking for a more stranuous hike, a longer more challenging day, so they were so kind to tailor a private day tour just for me, answering my every question, all with great communication, and it was absolutely fantastic, they catered to my dietary request (being a vegetarian) and Flavio the guide was super knowledgeable and informative, he could easily classify every flora or fauna spotted throughout the hike, he was very considerate of my pace and didn't pressure me to go faster, giving space but also taking lots of photos and making this a day to remember! I highly recommend booking a tour, private or not, with this great guys, it was all quick and easy to plan, they helped with a bunch of questions I had regarding places in the area and stuff to do in Cuenca, offering a world of knowledge with nothing but a smile and kindness.
