We really enjoyed our tour with Katherine. She was very warm and it was clear she loved telling stories of the city so dear to her heart.
Catherine, our guide, gave us passionate, detailed and vivid accounts of the social history of the Liberties neighbourhood of Dublin. She brought to life many of the larger than life characters like Bang Bang and Darkey Kelly, the more shocking events telling all the stories with a compassionate voice and one steeped in a deep commitment to social justice and left us wanting to continue with our own research. Thank you, Catherine 🙏🏽
Fantastic Experience. Catherine was very informative and knowledgeable about the area. I would absolutely recommend and it’s for a great cause.
While listening to a highly informed, well read guide, Catherine, the places we walked felt something like home for me. You can no longer look on a place as buildings and streets. Her love and knowledge of the place, its people who live here now, and particularly of those who lived here in the past make the walk a special type of experience. She has a sense of justice and humanity that came across especially when talking about the underground tunnel world of St Audoen's and society at that time. She gave us a run through the centuries. She'd be great in a classroom too.
A really fascinating morning learning so much. Catherine was friendly, knowledgeable and entertaining. Even though I’ve lived in Dublin for years, this tour really opened my eyes to amazing history and information that I’ve passed a dozen times without ever knowing. So glad we did it.
