Had a great experience with very knowledgeable teacher Malu

This was a last minute experience during our visit to Kyoto, and we’re so happy we did! Patrick was wonderful. Friendly, knowledgeable and great teacher. Now we have chef knives to take home and learned how to care for them. The entrance was a little hard to find. Walk around the back of the building through the alley off the Main Street. You’ll see a sign for chopsticks above a staircase. Fun area with small shops and restaurants, Lovers shrine (and the breakup shrine is across the street), and maiko walking around.

Great experience and you walk away with a great souvenir! Malu walked us through the process and was very informative about the process

Interesting experience. Even though I don't have a great command of English, the teachers were patient and thorough. The only downside, it was not easy to find the meeting place.

Really enjoyed the knife sharpening and crafting session with Rick! He was very knowledgeable and broke down the process so it was easy to understand. I’m really looking forward to using my new knife once I return home!
