I really enjoyed this workshop! We were offered a wide variety of tiles to choose from and they also had lots of premade patterns, which was helpful. I'm very happy with how my mosaic turned out and it makes a lovely souvenir! The art studio was homey and they had two adorable kitties that kept us company!
The mosaic workshop was very fun and relaxing. Kalliope and Eva were very welcoming and explained everything in great detail. I feel like I've learnt a lot about the art of mosaic, although it was my first time trying it.

Mosaic? Me? Ok, I thought it was tough. No, it is not. After a quick introduction to the mosaics I was started selected the design. The process was easy as cake, Popi was there to help you through the way and I had my own art in just an hour, plus I took it home. Actually this is a really helpful introduction, as you are shown the techniques to cut and place the pieces together. I really feel confident to start my own piece of mosaic art at home! This workshop is highly recommended!
The overall experience was genuine and they were very willing to assist every step of the way. However, please make sure to leave gaps in your piece. If not, you will not have any grout around your pieces, and your art will just be some glass pieces, glued to a piece of cardboard. Mine reminded me of a 2nd grade art activity. My wife was able to make a decent piece, however her second small piece ran out of the tile color she was using, and they didn’t have any back up colors. So she had to scrap that whole piece that she spent 45 minutes (of the two hours) on. Highly recommend picking a color that has a ton of pieces, or asking beforehand if they have extras.

We would, however, like to clarify a few points, as we feel they are important for accurately reflecting what happened during the session. At the beginning of every workshop, we explain how the finishing process works. If participants leave small gaps between the mosaic pieces, these gaps can later be filled with grout. If they prefer to place the pieces closely together without gaps, then grout is not needed. We also have finished examples in the studio showing both versions — with grout and without grout — so participants can clearly see the difference before deciding which look they prefer. These instructions are also available in written form throughout the workshop, and our team is continuously present to answer questions, check progress and assist whenever needed. Regarding your wife’s second piece, we always advise participants before they begin gluing to first check that there are enough tiles in the specific colour or style they have chosen to complete their design. In this case, she had already started gluing the piece before checking whether there were enough of that particular tile available. Once those specific tiles ran out, we offered her many different alternatives so she could continue and complete the design. We showed her around 10 other suitable options, from a studio selection of more than 100 different colours, shapes and styles, but unfortunately none of the alternatives suited the look she wanted. We also offered her the option to start another piece at no additional charge, so she would still be able to leave with a completed artwork, but she chose not to continue and left the unfinished piece with us. We actually completed that piece afterwards using materials from the studio, and it turned out beautifully. It is still here, and we would be very happy for her to have it. We fully respect that everyone can have a different experience and aesthetic preference, but we did want to clarify that the unfinished piece was not due to a lack of materials, options or assistance from our side. Several alternatives were offered during the workshop, as well as the option to start a new piece at no extra charge. Thank you again for joining us and for sharing your feedback.
Wet fun experience. There were pictures of examples of what we could make, which I used. My daughter created her own masterpiece. The teacher was very helpful.
An excellent way to spend a few hours getting your hands dirty in Athens! This class was so fun! The school provided everything needed to make a mosaic of your choice, and you are free to pursue any design you want! There are hundreds of tile colors to use, and the instructor offers as much or as little assistance as you require. We were thrilled to find that we could choose our own design, often classes like this have “pre made” designs to choose from, but this school allows your full creativity and only offers examples if requested. At the end of the class you leave with your boxed mosaic ready for travel!
