Your was great and our guide was very informative and fun Learned a lot about the dark history of Osaka and some of the more seedier areas of the city Highly recommend
Out of all of the Japan localized tours, the two I did in Osaka were the best. Be prepared, the dark tour really shows a side of poverty. Kelvin was a great guide, a really cool young man.
Our guide Kelvin was very knowledgeable and ran the tour well. He shared a lot of very interesting information of the dark side of Osaka. He was helpful and answered all our questions
I was worried about getting to the meeting point on time, but thankfully the tour guide waited a few minutes after the tour start time to give everyone time to arrive. The tour was very engaging and educational. I appreciated the recommendations given by the tour guide. I hope the tour guide considers using a tablet in the future. When he had something to show us, he used papers from a binder he was carrying. Since it was nighttime, it was often hard to see these papers. In addition, I was not sure about some of the tour guide's answers to people's questions.
Really amazing experience. Sometimes Japan seems like a perfect little place so it was good to see some of the parts hidden away from the tourists. The red light district was especially crazy. Our guide gave excellent info and answered all questions. Highly recommended
Matt was an excellent guide, and gave everyone a great tour! We picked up a lot about the less well-known side of Osaka, including homelessness and the red light district - while those aren't glamorous, they are extremely interesting to learn about. Matt also answered our group's endless questions on any topic at all, and was just a very fun and friendly guy to chat with!

Very good tour with Jay, equally informative and entertaining. Very impressive depth and breadth of knowledge regarding Osaka and the different historical and political context that has lead to some of the ‘dark’ outcomes we see today.
Our guide, Jay, was incredibly informative and shared a fascinating mix of historical and anthropological perspectives that really helped us understand this part of Japan beyond the surface. He struck a great balance between being amusing and deeply knowledgeable, and he answered nearly all of our questions with thoughtful detail. We happened to visit during the quieter winter season, which turned out to be a huge bonus—we had Jay all to ourselves, making the experience feel very personal and relaxed. Even though the day was quite cold and windy, Jay was extremely considerate and made a point of choosing sheltered spots to stop and talk, keeping us comfortable while still covering everything he wanted to show and explain. Overall, it was an engaging, insightful, and well-paced tour, made especially memorable with Jay. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a deeper look into this unique area of Osaka.
