It is a great day out, the Pyramids and Grand Egyptian museum are exceptional and worth the trip. It is a long day, pick up time 3:30am and get back 10 ish, the travel was well organised. Minah, our guide was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic that it made the day special. Couple of things to note, if you are picked up outside of Hurghada, eg Makadi bay there is small cash surcharge payable to the driver, and due to flight times we had over 3 hours at Cairo prior to flight home but don’t let that stop you from enjoying the day

Long day but worth it. Nabil our guide was very knowledgeable and imparted just the right amount of information. He knew exactly where to stand to get the best photos and see the best views of the amazing sites. The museum was very busy and we saw what we wanted to and for the final half hour Nabil took us to a quieter area of the museum to see a huge boat which had been found.

It was amazing and awe inspiring day and our guide made it more so. It was nice to be on a private tour and not on the usual group because he took us and showed us different things. They went above and beyond providing a cake for my wife as it was her birthday 🎂

I purchased this day trip to the pyramids in Giza and the GEM online from viator only 2 weeks in advance for $1200. I received reminders on time from viator. I almost missed this day trip by plane from Hurghada to Cairo due to my initial flight to Hurghada rescheduled. Initially, it took 6 hours to reach the local travel agency. But, when I finally reached A Z Travel Hurghada /HurghadaToGo local travel agency, Ahmed from customer service provided huge assistance to me. He helped me make it to the domestic Hurghada to Cairo flight on time: the takeoff time was at 05:30am so I needed to make the checkin at 04:30am. He gave us contact info of the fast track service at the Hurghada airport which helped my family obtain Egyptian tourist visas and go through security very quickly. He also sent a driver to pick us up from the international flights terminal and to take us to the domestic flights terminal. In addition, the driver provided storage of our luggage while we were in Cairo for this day trip. Ahmed also called our hotel in Hurghada to inform it of my late arrival. I was close to requesting to cancel the trip altogether without getting a refund, but Ahmed made it possible for me to make it to this trip on time. Our personal Egyptologist tour guide, Wessal, was exceptional. My 13 year old son was very impressed of her knowledge: asked her a lot of questions. She was also able to take us to additional visit to the papyrus shop and Nile river boat ride. She made this expensive trip worthwhile. I would highly recommend this trip.

A long day, but worth every minute. Everything was organised efficiently and communicated well to us, including our hotel pickup and flight details. The tour itself was superb and comprehensive, and included the stunning Grand Egyptian Museum and Pyramids of Giza, both of which it goes without saying are must-sees. Our tour guide, Remon, was extremely knowledgeable, spoke multiple languages, and ensured we felt safe, very well informed and entertained throughout. A magnificent day.

Our day trip to Cairo by plane from Hurghada with HurghadaToGo was an absolutely unforgettable experience. Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish, making the journey smooth, comfortable, and stress-free. The early flight from Hurghada saved us many hours of travel and allowed us to fully enjoy Cairo in one day. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by a professional and friendly tour guide who was extremely knowledgeable about ancient Egyptian history. Visiting the Egyptian Museum was a highlight, especially seeing the treasures of Tutankhamun up close. The trip was well-paced, with enough time to explore, take photos, and truly appreciate each stop. Transportation in Cairo was comfortable and air-conditioned, and lunch at a local restaurant was delicious with a great Nile view. What really stood out was the level of care and professionalism from the HurghadaToGo team. Communication was clear, timing was precise, and we felt supported throughout the entire trip. 👉 Highly recommended for anyone staying in Hurghada who wants to discover Cairo in one day without long road journeys. This tour is worth every moment and every penny.

Positives * The experience of these places is incredible * Our guide, Mo, was very knowledgeable and exceptional in his expertise * We met and travelled with a lovely family who experienced the same difficulties with the company as us Negatives * The pick up time from our hotel was changed 3 times in 24 hours * Transfers were not in an air conditioned vehicle. The vehicle was in a very old car, in poor condition with little to no suspension and an uncomfortable journey both ways * On arrival at Cairo Airport there was no tour guide or driver to meet us. Communication with the tour company was difficult and 7 of us were left waiting 60 minutes, being constantly pressured by taxi drivers before a driver appeared, telling us that he had overslept * The tour guide did not meet us until arrival at the first stop which was the pyramids * The itinerary included a visit to an oil shop and a papyrus shop … be prepared for the hard sell * Lunch was not “delicious lunch at a charming restaurant with a breathtaking view of the Pyramids, where you can relax and savor traditional Egyptian cuisine while gazing at one of the world's most iconic landmarks”. It was chicken and chips in a backstreet fast food restaurant in Cairo * We had been told by Hurghada To Go to be at Cairo airport for 16:15 for our flight back to Hurghada at 17:45. Our driver met us at 16:20 and drove at great speed and very erratically to arrive at the airport at 17:15. He spent the journey shouting and screaming at someone on the phone. 7 of us rushed to the check in desk and the gate to discover that there was no flight back until 20:00. There never had been a flight at 17:45 * One of our party contacted Hurghada To Go who responded that we were lucky to only have to wait another 2 hours. The flight left Cairo at 20:30 * We were picked up at Hurghada Airport by the same battered old car, and transferred back to our hotel at speed with the windows open (air conditioning) * This trip from start to finish was 20 hours, nothing like 10-12 hours as advertised In summary, the pyramids, the Sphinx and the incredible Grand Egyptian Museum are well worth a visit. However, the lack of communication and shambolic organisation by Hurghada To Go leaves us unable to recommend this trip which turned out to be exhausting and more than a little frustrating given the cost. A very unprofessional company.

Very intense day but worth it :) Guides might try to push you into experiences you don’t want - but respect your wishes. GEM is a great experience - plan enough time for the visit.

Good overall .However we did not do everything noted in the excursion- the visit to the souk did not take place-.The meal not being in the mentioned restaurant and of lower quality.The guide was very nice and answered without problem all our questions. Dear for what we did...

We had an unforgettable trip to Cairo! The Pyramids, the Sphinx, the Grand Egyptian Museum, and the lively Khan el-Khalili market were incredible highlights. Our guide Mena, an Egyptologist, was fantastic — knowledgeable, passionate, and made history come alive. The only small downside was that departure info came quite late, but overall it was a truly wonderful experience. Highly recommended!
