They provide a protected breeding environment where glow worms are raised and later released into natural habitats, helping to support wild populations that can be affected by over-tourism and environmental pressures. To protect the glow worms and preserve the experience, tours are limited to just 20 guests at a time, and photography is not permitted inside the caves. Tamborine Mountain offers a different experience from larger commercial attractions. It’s about enjoying the rainforest, scenic lookouts, gardens, galleries, wineries, local artisan businesses, and the relaxed mountain atmosphere. Our Hop On Hop Off service is designed as a shared public transport-style experience around Tamborine Mountain, allowing guests to get on and off at different attractions at their own pace. Because it is a shared service, there can be some waiting and travel time while we connect different guests with different stops across the mountain. We also understand that some travellers prefer a fully independent schedule. For guests wanting complete control over timing and stops, one of our private experiences may be a better fit. Our public Hop On Hop Off option is intended to provide a more sustainable, lower-impact way to explore the mountain while sharing transport with other visitors. Thank you again for your comments.
