I had an absolutely unforgettable experience with Utsi! He was an amazing guide, incredibly kind, patient, friendly, and always willing to go the extra mile to give us the best possible chance of seeing the Northern Lights. What makes this tour truly special is how personal and flexible it is. This is not one of those typical tours where there is a fixed route or a strict limit on how many km the guide can drive. Utsi is genuinely focused on finding the auroras. He drove us to different locations and kept moving wherever we needed to go to find the best conditions. He even took us to the top of a mountain so we could enjoy the lights from an incredible viewpoint. And the adventure was much more than just the Northern Lights. Along the way, we were lucky enough to see a moose and many wild reindeer roaming freely in their natural habitat. We also tried wild berries, learned about the local area, and enjoyed every part of the journey. It truly felt like an authentic Lapland adventure rather than just a regular tour. Another thing I really appreciated was Utsi himself. He is incredibly friendly and easy to talk to, and he genuinely loves sharing his knowledge about Lapland, its culture, nature, and way of life. You can tell that he really wants you to experience and understand more about this amazing place. And if you care about getting amazing memories and photos, Utsi goes above and beyond. He brings his professional Sony camera and takes incredible pictures throughout the night. He is also incredibly patient with photos, you can ask for another one, another angle, another location, and somehow it is never “enough” for him! 😂 He keeps looking for the perfect shot and makes sure you have beautiful photos to remember the experience forever. It never felt like I was simply going on a tour with a guide. It felt like I was exploring Lapland with a local friend who genuinely cared about making the experience unforgettable. If you're looking for an aurora tour in Lapland, I couldn't recommend Utsi enough. He must be one of the best guides in the region.
