Great guide, great instruction, great gear, great location. Worth every penny

Christian was delightful and pleasant to get to know. He was a wealth of knowledge on the art of spear fishing. We value that he is trying to keep this authentic way of fishing alive.

This was the highlight of our vacation so far. Christian provided a detailed safety, species, and equipment briefing that includes the folklore and socio-cultural context. His knowledge of the reef and sport are amazing. We saw many species and were thrilled with numerous turtle encounters. Do not expect to be successful immediately—it is technical and does require some luck as well as skill. This trip is not with a speargun-it is with the 3 prong sling spear. Can’t recommend this experience highly enough.

Fun learning the basics of spear fishing with a local guide who’s been doing it for years. Easy swimming water conditions in barrier reef area, just bring fins and they supplied everything else. Plenty of fish close to shore to practice on if you don’t want to swim far. I got two little fish and our guide prepped em for the pan, delicious. Don’t forget to tip your guide. 10% is standard folks.

Apo was a great instructor. It is a learning experience. I recomend taking the class early in your trip and getting the week long Fishing license so you can do it the rest of your trip..

Great instruction for the very beginner spear fisherman. I was able to harvest my first fish with a spear and it tasted great. On my Birthday, thanks to the instruction and a visit to the Kapaa Beach House, I invested in a basic set up and successfully harvested two more, which again, tasted great. Highly recommend this place! Well done.

My family and I had an awesome time. Aidden was an excellent guide who not only taught us the basics, but also kept a strong focus on sustaining the reef. Even if you don’t catch a fish on your first time out, just being on the reef is an incredible experience.

We really enjoyed our experience. Aiden was a fantastic guide and kept us safe. Only one of us managed to bring back a fish, but we had fun trying and there were plenty of fish to take shots at. My only critique is the snorkeling equipment for one of us had a damaged mouth piece which made it difficult. He didn’t realize it until we were already out there and away from the equipment.
