ツアーはラパス市を出発し、南へ向かいます。「魂の谷」へ向かい、約1時間のハイキングで、驚異的な自然の地形を堪能します。その後、移動手段で「パルカ渓谷」の岸辺へ。そこで2回目のハイキングに挑戦。今回は地元の人々と共に果樹園や農場を通り過ぎます。その後、小川の岸辺まで1時間30分ほど下り、様々な景色と色彩を堪能します。

午前 9 時に出発し、「ラ サルテーニャ」と呼ばれるおいしい軽食を味わえるレストランに移動します。 この時点から、谷に到達するまで約 1 時間移動する必要があります。 砂質粘土でできた巨大なオベリスクが立ち並ぶ谷。その地質学的形態は、石化した精霊と響き渡る風のように見え、奇妙な音を聞くことができます。人の速度に応じて、45 分から 1 時間歩きます。

We had an incredible hiking day with our lovely and super capable guide, Patricia! She picked us up from our hotel in the south part of La Paz and drove us to two stunning hiking canyons. The first was Palca Canyon, which is known as the Grand Canyon of Bolivia. The hike was about 1.5 hours (8,000 steps?) We took hiking poles which helped immensely over the rocks of the river bed and the climb down into the dry riverbed. The canyon was majestic and inspiring. The second hike was at the Valle de las Animas (Valley of the Souls), the canyon’s name is based on a legend. (Hike was about an hour and less intense hiking than the first one). It is a place that is so unreal you feel like it is not of this world. The eroding spires were out of a space movie set. Patricia guided our every step. She told us of the history and legends…as well as adding personal antidotes of the area. We highly recommend this half day trip for those you love the outdoors, hiking and seeing the exquisite unbelievable (and highly unusual) beauty of nature. Great day, great tour! Glad we didn’t miss it! We were practically the only people in both canyons!
