It feels like a cross between Chucky Cheese for adults and an outdated Disney ride. Not nearly representative of the fine brew it’s suppose to represent. We paid for the guided tour, but the guide was not that well informed and was hard to hear because of the constant loud background noise and crappy headset. The pouring lesson was average compared to others we had done. It’s like a conveyer belt experience and higgledy piggledy displays. Chaotic.
Was an amazing experience, the workers are amazing and extremely pleasant to speak with. This was my second experience with Guinness and I am planning our third to be before we leave for our return flights. Nothing better than drinking a pint of Guinness while at the Gravity Bar
I'm struggling to understand all the 5 star reviews for this. This is not a tour, it's an extremely effective way of extracting tourists from their money. The contents of the floors are very poor and the only saving grace is the Gravity bar at the top, but only if you get lucky and find some seats. The whole experience is terrible and hugely overcrowded. We did the Jameson tour earlier today and that was a proper tour where you actually learned something. Feels like Guinness are just exploiting gullible tourists, myself included unfortunately.
A bit overrated and overcrowded.
A very busy tour but well worth it Always book ahead Hop on bus stops in front of the storehouse Cafe and bar and siops all inside Do what you want once inside
Recommended to do… just a great experience … eat on level 5 first restaurant on the right …lovely service and amazing food and cocktails
Self guided tour provides you as little or as much time as you want to check out all of the information provided.
I’ll start off by being controversial and saying I didn’t particularly enjoy my first taste of Guinness! It contained coffee and dark chocolate flavours I don’t enjoy. That said I was very interested in this iconic brand and wanted to visit Irelands most visited tourist attraction. It started off brilliantly- a nice warm welcome, the famous 9000 year lease document, a stunning building and then the ingredients sensory experience was brilliant. Some other excellent sections included the famous tv adverts cinema, the taster experience and some wacky artwork dotted about. Now onto the negatives and the number one issue I had was The Gravity Bar. It was too packed and we just wandered about (drink in hand) looking for somewhere to sit. Unfortunately people were being incredibly selfish and blocking prime places even when drinks were drunk. I’d like to see some sort of time limit so more people can enjoy the views. A big 10 minute clock on each table? I don’t think people should be wandering around and have to resort to sitting on the floor with their children like we were. It really did tarnish my lasting memory of the day. The other surprise was that there was no information about Arthur Guinness at all - what was his background, what inspired the drink etc. when I asked about this, I was told that this had been removed to make space for the raw ingredients bits. I thought it was a bit of a snub and an obvious omission. Surely space could be found on one wall!?? Worthwhile to visit - but please limit numbers!
We visited with my three Australian cousins and the experience absolutely blew us away. The atmosphere was brilliant, the Guinness was fantastic, and it was the perfect place to show them a great Irish experience. Safe to say, they all left Dublin loving Guinness! We had a brilliant time and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Dublin.
Brilliant tour, very informative and educational, very good price and the pint in the gravity bar at the end was well worth the wait. Spent nearly 4 hours wandering around. Staff were so helpful as we had one member of our party in a wheelchair, supplied free by the staff.
