Very beautiful and interesting visit thanks to the super guide Giusy who entertained us with competence, friendliness, and patience. Despite the scorching heat, even our children (8 and 11 years old) completed the tour with constant interest. Highly recommended!
Our guide (Giusi) is incredibly knowledgeable about history, archeology, art, local culture and gave us a phenomenal tour of Matera with bits of humor too. Giusi has a knack for connecting with visitors of all ages (adults and children) and makes everyone feel comfortable and welcome. We highly recommend touring with Giusi. This is the second time we have booked with Viator and I’ve found their site and tours to be well organized with high-quality guides at a reasonable price. The guide Giusy was very nice and knowledgeable, but we were disappointed by the tour we took as we hoped to see more Sassi in the central area of the town and not along the border with the Murgia.

Tuttavia, restiamo sorpresi dalla descrizione dell’itinerario riportata nella recensione, perché non corrisponde al percorso previsto per il nostro tour dei sassi. La visita si svolge inizialmente nel centro storico e prosegue scendendo nel cuore dei Sassi, attraverso vicoli, scalinate e antichi vicinati. Il tour comprende inoltre l’ingresso in una casa grotta e in una chiesa rupestre. Non è invece previsto alcun percorso lungo il confine della Murgia: il Parco della Murgia e le sue chiese rupestri appartengono a un’esperienza differente. Inoltre, Giusy non effettua con noi l’itinerario descritto nella recensione. Proprio perché viene citata nominativamente una nostra guida, desideriamo verificare con precisione quanto accaduto. La invitiamo pertanto a comunicarci il numero di prenotazione, la data e l’orario del tour, così da poter ricostruire il servizio effettivamente svolto.
