ホル・ヴィラップはキリスト教の受容と直結しており、アルメニアで最も有名な巡礼地である。 アルメニアのキリスト教は、トルダット3世王をキリスト教に改宗させる前に地下牢に幽閉された聖グレゴリウス智慧者の働きにより、301年に国教として採用され、17世紀にホル・ヴィラップ修道院の教会が建設された。 修道院からは、聖書に登場するアララト山の素晴らしい景色を眺めることができます。
百の洞窟の岩に囲まれた狭い道を抜けると、そこには自然との調和がとれた建築の光景が広がっていた。 精緻な建築的解決策と豪華な装飾で祀られた修道院は、13世紀のアルメニア建築の最も明るい例の一つである。 ノラヴァンクは、聖カラペト教会、聖グレゴリー・ザ・イルミネーター教会、聖アストヴァツァツィン（聖なる神の母）2階建ての教会からなり、理想的な建設的で彫刻的な働きで注目に値する。
特にヴァヨツ・ゾルとアレニ村は、何千年もの間アルメニアワイン醸造の発祥の地であった。 「ヒン・アレニ」ワイン工場は、この地域の扉を世界に開き、歴史的で土着のアルメニアのブドウ品種を紹介します。 ワイナリーでは、ワイン造りの歴史的な伝統と最新の近代的な設備がうまく融合しています。 "Hin Areni" ワイン工場は250トン以上のブドウを処理する能力がある。
調査の結果、紀元前 4200 年から 3500 年にさかのぼる金属製のナイフ、果物の種、穀物の残骸、ロープ、皿、衣類、干しブドウ、プラムが洞窟で発見されました。世界最古の革靴がここで発見されました。 5500年以上前のものです。また、同じ地域で、世界最古の女性用スカート（紀元前3900年）と、全世界で最初のワイナリーが発見されました。

Hayk and Aro were great in this tour. Hayk explained each part of the tour section to us in both english (for english speakers) and russian (for russian speakers). I really enjoyed this tour with the wine tasting and then seeing Khor Virap and Noravank and lastly the cave where the oldest shoe was found. Thank you!
