If you ever get the chance to witness the synchronous fireflies in the Smoky Mountains, DO NOT pass it up — and this tour is absolutely the way to experience it! From start to finish, this was one of the most unique outings we've ever been on. What makes it so special is that it's so much more than just watching fireflies. Our hosts were incredibly knowledgeable and wove together the ecology, natural history, and cultural heritage of the Smoky Mountains in a way that felt effortless and captivating. We walked away genuinely learning something, and that's a rare gift. The experience kept us engaged the entire time — both mentally and physically. There was a wonderful energy to the evening, moving through the landscape as the light faded and the forest came alive around us. It felt like an adventure with an expert friend by your side, and the thrill of the ever potential bear sighting. The Hannah and her team were exceptional at connecting with every single person in the group — curious kids, seasoned nature experts, first-timers — everyone felt included and welcomed. Their enthusiasm and knowledge for the subject was genuine. The only bittersweet part is that this experience is only available for a few short weeks each year, during the brief window when the fireflies emerge and perform their magical display. It makes it feel all the more special. If you're lucky enough to snag a spot during that short season, grab it without hesitation. This is the kind of experience that reminds you just how extraordinary the natural world truly is. Absolutely unforgettable.

Enjoyable tour! We had a nice walk through the park followed by viewing the fireflies. Hannah was a very accommodating tour guide!

This was so much fun! We caught a heavy rainfall but honestly it added to the fun! The tour guides were knowledgeable and so kind and when it rained, they were prepared with ponchos! So appreciated! The fireflies were amazing and so whimsical! Everyone has to experience this!

Take a good quality camera if you expect to catch pics. Cell phones just don’t do it! Very cool to see but would have been nice to have photos.

Once in a lifetime experience! Definitely one for the bucket list! Hannah was very friendly and knowledgeable, and the fireflies did not disappoint! Absolutely recommend!!

Epic firefly viewing! Well run, on time and very informative. Most people went on a short hike before dark. We opted out. We then went maybe 600 yards to a spot our guide had obviously used before, with good reason! We saw synchronize fireflies and blue ghosts literally light up the night around us. Red flashlights and chairs provided. Dont hesitate, just go!

Our guide, Hannah was fantastic! She clearly spent a lot of time planning the event to enhance our experience! The fireflies were magical, the hike beautiful and overall great tour. Well worth the $!! We’d do other tours w Hannah at Mt Mama’s if we could.
