Our day with our guide Rafael and our driver Shabani was truly unforgettable. We could not have wished for a more dedicated, kind, knowledgeable, and outstanding guide than Rafael. He shared his deep knowledge throughout the 11 hours we spent together, walking us through fascinating details about the land and wildlife, and answering every one of our questions with patience and passion. Shabani, our driver, went above and beyond to make the day remarkable. His expertise with the routes meant we were able to see the Big Four as well as countless other animals. He stopped for us at every opportunity so we could take photographs, all while ensuring our safety. It was clear that many other guides did not take the routes he chose, which made his dedication to creating a truly exceptional experience stand out. Thanks to their expertise, we saw all four of the Big Four — and much more. If you want to experience Nyerere properly, we can only recommend this perfect duo: Rafael and Shabani

Top days had in selous safari lodge. Staff very friendly and helpful. Willing to do anything for you. Rooms are very spacious and clean. Activities are well organized. Also contacted in advance via WhatsApp., everything was answered neatly. Safari in nyere top! spotting animals is difficult we were told. we have been on safari for 2 days.. and have seen 3 of the big 4.. the rhino is not here and we have not seen the leopard, but others have. It was very green, this also makes searching more difficult. Elephant is also not guaranteed, we did not see the 2nd day and the lion is only seen once every 3 weeks. So you must be really lucky! Lots of giraffes, impalas seen.

From booking to returning to the hotel this safari excited us visit the park with osmam an extraordinary guide to find the animals then the second day walking safaris with Didier a massage that knows all about wildlife and vegetation After that discover local life then safaris on the river with Raphael The next day we had to take the plane which luckily for us broke down right away the safari direction offered us to go back to the park for a second day before returning to the plane in the evening which happy a big thank you for your efficiency

Plane from Zanzibar to Nyerere Park Airport for 2 days in February 2024 organized by Uwanda Tours Safari. 1st unforgettable day in the reserve from 8am to 5pm. A big plus: our guide Raphael spoke French and he shared his good knowledge about fauna and flora. The second day safari on the river: except for the presence of hippos we met few animals. Very comfortable accommodation.

Excellent service, unforgettable experience, outstanding hotel rooms. This three-day tour is a must if you can afford it and are in Zanzibar. Important to note - solo travellers must book directly with Uwanda Tours, as they will not accept your TripAdvisor booking and cancel it. It is perfectly safe to do so, as I have done it. P.s. For your bush medicine needs, go to Dr. Simba!

We booked a 3 day safari tour from Zanzibar to Nyere Park with Uwanda Tours for Oct 23 and it was an incredible experience. Everything was well organized and we were positively surprised by the accommodation. The safari experience (boat safari, game drive, walking tour) was also great. Above all, our guide JJ and driver Haji made the safari trip very special. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. The walking tour with Dr Simba was also very informative and educational. I would book the tour exactly the same way again.

I found this company on Safaribooking and I bought two night package for Nyerere park privately for a very cheap price considering we slept in a Luxury lodge with all food and drinks included, we had a return flight to Zanzibar, boat safari, game drive and other 3 activities. They have been very accommodating with us and they answered to all our questions. I asked them their license and I found they were registered on the Tanzania government website which was absolutely important for us. We paid only small deposit and when we asked them to change the date of the safari they have not asked us for any additional money and they made us happy with the request. The Selous lodge was very new and the people were very nice and accommodating, we had all food and soft drinks included, we were so happy for their service. The game drive was very good but keep in mind the park is very large. The bush tour was so funny, the boat safari also was interesting and the tour village was also good as we asked the guide to take us to the school and a church and he made us happy. We requested to leave early because we did not want to wait long in the lodge after the morning tour and they also made us happy about this. So we did not do the tour (the free one) because we decided to leave at 7 am as there was a gap between the morning activity and the flight time at 4 pm. The only downtown was that we were made aware of the change plan (all the excursions were followed, they only changed the day of each activities and they added a new activity for FREE) when we were leaving our country and this did not give us time to search and plan for a different tour with them, however I think they have fixed this in their website since this change was done due to a tax applied by the government. Overall I recommend them as a company and if I go back to Tanzania for sure I contact them for other tours.

An absolutely awesome experience with my personal guide Alfa & Range Rover driver Ali @Selous Safari Village Camp. We went on a two day and one night safari to Nyerere national park. Pocked up at our hotel in Zanzibar at 4.30 am to fly to the park. Spent the first day with Aristides in his Land Rover tour. He was amazing. He picked up up from the airport at about 7.15 am and didn’t drop us back at the hotel until 6.30 pm. During this time he worked so hard to ensure we saw all the animals. He was amazing. We saw so many giraffes, buffalo and zebras. We found 2 elephants plus a lion and lioness and much more. Would highly recommend The hotel which was a 2 minute drive outside the park was basic but ok for one night. Day two was a 2 hour boat trip which was fun. Then Goodluck showed us around the local village which was interesting. Goodluck was also very informative and helpful. We went back to the hotel for lunch at 1pm and then sat around the hotel for about 3 hours before the flight home Would highly recommend
