I had instructor Jack, the surfingsensei and he was amazing! His instructions were clear and so easy to follow. Very nice, friendly, and encouraging! I did the semi-private lesson and only had one other person, it was fantastic! I love that the videos from the GoPro were included in the price. If you’re thinking about booking this, the answer is DO IT!!!

This is I’m sure the best surfing lesson on Oahu! Our instructor Jack was awesome and we both managed to pick it up within a few waves. The spot the lesson takes place at is great, easy to find and free parking. Loved it, mahalo!

Michael and his group of instructors are fantastic and I would highly recommend!!! I booked this for my husband and 2 boys and they all loved it and say it was the highlight of our trip. All the details are taken care of (shoes, rash guard, board, GoPro) and I appreciate their small class ratio (1 instructor for each of my family members) to keep everyone safe and help everyone conquer the waves. I easily watched from the shore and afterwards we have loved the numerous provided GoPro videos! Thank you for such a fun experience and we will do it again when we return :)

This was absolutely perfect for a first time, middle aged, surfer. The surfing coach Jack was super helpful and patient. Everything was clearly explained and he was very supportive after each attempt. Through his guidance I managed to stand up and surf after a few tries. The included videos are great and prove to my family and friends I really did surf! The beach is ideal, beautiful, quiet and ideal conditions for a novice. I wholeheartedly recommend this experience it was amazing and a holiday highlight.

Our instructor Kevin was awesome! He was very patient and taught us very well. We had a great time! My niece and her friend wanted to do it again!

My experience was so EPIC. I have dreamt of learning how to surf for the longest. My instructor Jack was AMAZING. He was attentive, funny, and provided feedback. Learning how to surf is definitely tiring- a full body work out, and requires good balance- helps if you have a strong core. I was given a vest to wear over my bathing top and water shoes. If you have the option for the tights- I’d take it. Getting on and off the board can be a lot on your legs if exposed - it’s what you’re comfortable with. Definitely stretch and open your hips before going - it would help a lot. I wish we had more time- it was so much fun!! I can’t wait to see what the videos look like. Thank you so much for this memorable experience.

This surf lesson was AMAZING! The instructors really did everything possible to get you standing. Very kind and patient people.

First time on a surfboard and I’m totally hooked! The location was gorgeous, the waves were perfect, and my instructor was absolute gold—so clear, encouraging, and easy to learn from. ​I was catching and riding waves way faster than I ever expected for day one! Incredible vibe from start to finish. If you’re on the fence about booking a lesson, just do it.

John was great for teaching a first time surfer. My daughter had a blast and caught a few waves! It was nice being just a mile or two from the resort center.
