Great driver and guide !!! Would recommend this driver and guide Anytime. He was able to get us through tour very quickly through a lot of traffic.
Tour guide drove us to several scenic areas along the route and gave us time to wander and take pictures. The tunnels were amazing (and there’s a bar inside with Guinness and some cider on tap!!) The entire trip was so informative. Peter was a fantastic guide with a wealth of information!
Very disappointed with this tour. The tour operator played an audio file as we drove by landmarks and sites. At the end of the tour. We asked when we would do the World War II tunnels. The tour operator replied that that was not on her schedule today and offered to just drop us off there, telling us we would then be completely in our own. I would not recommend this tour or the tour operator.
The tour is not bad, as the guide was pleasant and doing it alone means missing a lot of interesting information. The meeting point was also easy to locate and the sites we visited were numerous. However, I think it could be improved by taking into account the following points: 1- offer more visit time at each of the stops, especially in the tunnels. 2- that a guide get off the bus and accompany the visitors, giving them important/interesting information about the site they are visiting. 3- the information and videos at the different stops (St. Michael's Cave, WWII tunnels) should be in several languages, not just English. There are people who either have not studied it, due to their age (usually older people) and the educational curriculum of their time, or do not know it for other social or personal reasons.
Unfortunately, this tour was not as advertised. I paid for the WWII tunnels, however, the tour guide stated that this was not part of the tour she was going to do. She offered to leave people near the WW2 tunnels but that it was their responsibility to get to them and then back to wherever they needed to go. I would not recommend this tour as it is currently advertised.
I gave it 2 bubbles, because the guide — when she finally arrived — was knowledgeable. But wait for the rest: The description said to meet at the Midtown Coach Car Park. Okay, vague. When I wrote the tour operator, they clarified that it would be on the second floor of the car park. Okay, also vague, but... I got there early, and there wasn't a soul around — nor any indication of where in the car park we were supposed to meet. Eventually, a random group of people came up the stairs, and one of them happened to be a company employee. Fine — checked in with her. Then we waited... and waited... and waited... The departure time passed. The employee gave us NO information of what was going on. Finally, a couple buses pulled in, and we were ushered onto a bus. Our actual guide, a native English speaker, said the morning tour was delayed, which is why she was late in arriving. The company had written me, "The tour would end at 14:15 / 14:30 (depending traffic up the Rock on that day)." Great, because at 14:30 I had to leave to catch a bus in Spain. This was billed specifically as an English-language tour. The guide asked everyone on our bus if they spoke English. Some people said they did not — that they needed Spanish. The guide continued to look around the bus asking if the rest of us spoke English, and I nodded, and someone else said yes. As we began driving, a Spanish-language narration tape began playing, and then stopped. Then it played, and stopped again. After this happened a third time, I called out to the guide at the front of the bus asking when she would add in the English. She expressed surprised — she thought everyone on the bus spoke Spanish! Lmao... I and another native English speaker were upset. The guide quickly started adding in English narration between the Spanish bits but never did make up for the first three segments we missed. When it came time to stop and go out to walk around a bit, the guide offered to narrate for the English speakers in English — but the poor Spanish speakers got nothing! We wound up arriving back downtown around 3, half an hour after the promised time. I then missed my connections in Spain. When I wrote the tour operator afterwards, they never responded. And all this cost over £50! Will NEVER book with Blands Travel again,
Good afternoon, im so sorry to hear this, where did you send an email to? travel@blandstravel.com is the correct email.
Peter was a great tour guide and provided a lot of information about Gibraltar. You get time at Cape Europa, St. Michael’s Cave, the Ape Den and the WWII Tunnels. I wish we had more time in the tunnels because 25 minutes was not enough. We didn’t even have time to go into the gift shop. This tour also does not go to the skywalk. I would definitely recommend the tour but if you want to spend more time in the tunnels I would suggest a tour of just that. We could have easily spent an hour there. Thank you again!
Good afternoon, thank you for your feedback. busses aren't able to access the skywalk we don't provide this tour.
They left out 2 tourist sites on the Rock - the Brige and the skywalk. They could have at leSt mentioned and given us the option to see it on our own
Our tours don't offer the skywalk or the suspension bridge. if two guests stayed behind upon their own risk however this isn't the way we operate.
While you do visit all the main attractions, the guide does not enter any of them with you. So it’s basically using a tour bus as a taxi.
Thank you for your feedback, the driver/guide remains on the bus and leaves you outside each attraction. the attractions arent guided, they are visual attractions.
The experience was not what we expected
Thank you for your feedback, apologies it wasn't what was expected. the timings are on the tour descriptions.
