Private all day tour to the Pyramids and GEM
We can highly recommend our driver (Hany) and guide (Amr), 5 stars all the way!! Pick up from the cruise port in Alexandria was easy and our driver Hany was charming and thoughtful. Although he didn't have much english he used a translation app to point out interesting places on thr journey and touchingly gave us a little gift to remember Egypt by just before we arrived backat the Ship. We were met by our guide Amr in Cairo and proceeded to the Pyramids. He asked if we wanted to go shopping on the trip, we said no and he didn't mentioning again which was great. Amr was very knowledgeable and had an obvious passion for Egyptology. His talks were interesting and informative. We were impressed by how much better the transport infrastructure is at the pyramids compared to when we last visited in 2019. Amr offered us options for things to see whilst at Giza. We were then taken to a lovely clean restaurant for a buffet lunch. After lunch we went to the Grand Egyptian Museum. Amr explained he be concentrating on two areas, the solar boat hall and, of course, the Tutankhamun exhibits. Again he was engaging in his information sharing and allowed us free time at both places. The Pyramids and the newly opened Grand Egyptian museum are STUNNING. If you've ever thought about going just do it.
