Mohamed was smart about getting to the museum first thing in the morning and for the first hour or so we could really explore the museum without the crowds. It was special. He knows exactly where to take pictures at the Pyramids of Giza so it was a time saver. Another wonderful day well spent.

Must-see tour in Egypt - See the GEM with Mohamed
The Grand Egyptian Museum is HUGE! Our family is so grateful to Mohamed for guiding us through the museum, sharing helpful context and interesting stories behind the items and displays, pointing out some of the "off the beaten path" stops and allowing us plenty of free time to explore the items we wanted to revisit.
There is no way we could have done this on our own, and we already knew a lot about Egyptian history. Mohamed made our tour both enjoyable and meaningful for us all.
The GEM is an amazing, must-see museum, but it has to be done the right way. Our family will always remember our tour with Mohamed. Thanks to his expertise, and generosity with his time, we really got the most of our visit. He is an exemplary tour guide and true gentleman.

Fantastic day at the Grand Egyptian Museum and NMEC with Mimo
We had a fantastic day with Mimo (Mohamed) visiting the Grand Egyptian Museum and the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization.
Mimo was brilliant. He has a huge amount of knowledge but, more importantly, knows how to explain things without making it feel like a history lecture. We were travelling with our two boys, aged 10 and 13, and he kept all four of us interested throughout the day, answered endless questions, and was great company.
Having him with us made a massive difference at both museums. Rather than just looking at thousands of objects, we actually understood the stories behind what we were seeing and how everything fitted together.
We spent two days with Mimo in Cairo and genuinely enjoyed his company. Friendly, kind, knowledgeable and very easy to spend a day with. Highly recommended.
