GEAR Kyoto：ノンバーバルシアターショー入場券

I attended an afternoon session with my girlfriend when we were in Kyoto. Since we’re both August babies, we even got a discount on our tickets! Unfortunately, we did not enjoy the show as much as we would’ve liked. Given that the tickets were priced fairly high, I expected a show similar to ‘The Painters’ or ‘NANTA Cooking Show’ in Seoul, where each member’s individual performance would easily appeal to the average audience. However, the individual talents displayed here – breakdancing, ‘robot dancing’, yoyo tricks, magic and.. ballet? felt pretty niche. Except for a few ‘magical’ moments, the performances in the show just didn’t manage to catch my interest. My girlfriend also commented that the show would be more entertaining with more jokes. To be fair, the staff and performers are awesome and gave it their all. They were enthusiastic and amazing, but while I can appreciate the performers’ incredible skill and talents, I can’t deny that their area of expertise just doesn’t interest me 😅

Tbh I went here with pretty low expectations. I honestly thought it was going to be a small, kid-oriented show, especially since I was taking my 5-year-old. He actually ended up being basically the only kid there. I’m genuinely, absolutely glad we didn’t skip it. The amount of precision and thought that went into the show was kind of mind blowing. I lived in NYC and have seen well over a dozen Broadway shows, plus shows in Vegas, Europe, and elsewhere, and somehow this ended up being one of the most memorable and impactful performances I’ve seen over my life. I'm still surprised by how touching and moving it was, it doesn't make sense if you watch what you can find on YouTube, but it makes sense if and when you go. Again, definitely don’t skip it.

Phenomenal. Nothing at all like we were expecting. It was fantastic! It was fun, funny, beautiful and overall visually addictive.

It was a fun experience. Good visuals sound and entertainment. Intimate theater so every seat is good. We would recommend!

The performances were great. All of the actors were really talented. Loved the audience interaction. Definitely worth the time to see /experience while visiting Kyoto.

Tell folks that it’s a very family oriented show for children over 6 years old and definitely for teenagers and adults! Robot characters are great as well!! Interactive performance was great too! Definitely would recommend this to everyone, without a doubt!!!!

this is a very unique show, and if time allows is a nice addition to an itinerary. the cast is talented, and it was very enjoyable. it isn't a must do, but it certainly provided excellent entertainment value! you will not do anything like it elsewhere.
