I cannot recommend the sightseeing tour. You hear more music than history/interesting facts about Funchal/Madeira. In the end, it was actually just an advertisement for two hotels, saying that you absolutely have to stay there. It is called hop-on hop-off, but I would not want to get off at certain stops; there is a viewpoint and nothing else, and the next bus comes in 30 minutes at best. It was also very unclear to us when and where the bus departs. In Madeira, I would choose the red bus if anything; the yellow one is unfortunately not recommended, even though the route had sounded more appealing.

Great experience to travel by yellow bus through funchal. With the 3 in 1 tour you could also go to camara de lobos and to gabo girao.. that was so beautiful! We used this bus for five days and you really get everywhere

The 3-in-1 Hop-On Hop-Off Tour is a fun, easy, and efficient way to explore Funchal and its surroundings. We enjoyed some great stops at the Pico dos Barcelos viewpoint and the Cabo Girão skywalk. Although we bought 5-day tickets, we only ended up using them for a single day. That was no problem for me since I knowingly took that gamble (plus, the price difference was minimal). Naturally, you can also use the bus simply as a way to get around. Minus points (not very annoying): Waiting at the connection stop yellow en blue line can be long. Audio could be better. Anyhow, good experience.

Unfortunately, we did not enjoy the tour. The buses run irregularly and cannot be tracked via internet tracking either. There are long wait times. Also, you don't necessarily return to the point of boarding - unless you ride the entire loop. Wait time 60 min up to 80 min today. Complaint to the provider was met with a shrug, excuses of 'that can't be,' another deduction. There is quite a bit to improve.

Bus tour route included important sites in the city, sadly the audio descriptions were not always in time to the locations we passed. It is appreciated that with pre recorded audio, there will be times when a description does not fit the feature it is describing.

Mixed experience. We booked the 2 day pass 3 in 1 tour. For two consecutive days had to wait between 45 and 50 minutes for the bus to turn up from bus stop 23 (between 10am and 11 am approx) to take us into Funchal. It was our understanding buses every 30 mins during AM. So a frustrating start each day. We complained to the agent in Funchal and were told this is not possible so there is clearly a disconnect here. On the plus side when the bus did turn up it was OK. The tour to Cabo Girao was excellent and the driver of the smaller bus was very helpful indeed (changed to smaller bus at Camara de Lobos). We did not use the audio guide. Weather was good and sat in the open top area of the bus for some great views.

Long wait times. Narrative and driver were not synced. Buying tickets online was confusing. Hop on Hop Bus would have been a better choice!

Good overview of funchal. Easy excursion to acquaint yourself with the area. Good value for money. Would recommend
