We had an outstanding experience on this tour, and everything was wonderful! Since we only had a short time before our cruise departure, efficiency was key. Our guide, Antonis, was incredibly knowledgeable, fun, and thorough. The hotel pickup was perfectly prompt, and the tour wrapped up with a seamless drop-off right at our cruise terminal. We will definitely be recommending this tour to others!
Antony created a memorable experience for us as we explored the culinary delights of Athens. We sampled authentic Greek food as we traveled around the city. Antony was knowledgeable about both food and Greek history. Our conversation was enjoyable and informative.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review! It was a real pleasure spending the day with you and sharing some of Athens’ authentic culinary treasures. I’m especially happy that you enjoyed not only the food, but also our conversations about Greek history, culture, and everyday life in Athens. For me, the best tours are about more than just visiting places — they’re about experiencing the city like a local and creating memorable moments along the way. Thank you again for choosing Athens Soul Travel. I hope to welcome you back to Athens one day for another delicious adventure! Warm regards, Antonis Athens soul travel
Excellent way to spend the day (1/2 the day) and great introduction to Greece’s most important historical sites. Antony perfectly balanced a lot of historical information with a great, fun personality. It was incredible what we were able to see and learn about in such a short time. He also geared the trip to the things most important to us and went out of his way to make it a fun and memorable time.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review! It was a pleasure showing you around Athens and sharing its history, stories, and highlights with you. I’m very happy you enjoyed the experience and that we could make the most of your time in the city. I hope to see you again in Athens! Warm regards, Antonis
We had the pleasure of doing a day tour with our wonderful guide, Antonis. He took us to a number of sites within and around the city. The passion he has not only for history but the city and country itself was on full display as he filled our knowledge banks with facts, figures, Greek mythology, and current events. He acted as a guide, driver, photographer and teacher in one and consistently ensured we were enjoying ourselves. We did and highly recommend booking with him!

We were picked up promptly at the port in a nice clean vehicle and driven to the various sights on our tour. Our guide was very friendly and explained much of the history behind the sights as we were dropped off (he didn’t accompany us on at any of the sights). Once we toured the various sights by ourselves, we would call and our guide would come to pick us up and take us to the next site. Our guide had pre-purchased tickets to the main attraction (the Acropolis) and we reimbursed those but you need to make sure you have cash as they must be paid in cash. Be prepared to do a lot of walking and expect large crowds everywhere.
Thank you very much for choosing Athens Soul Travel and for taking the time to share your experience with other travelers. We would, however, like to clarify one point regarding the three-star rating. From your own comments, it appears that everything went smoothly: you had no issues with our driver, our vehicle, our service, or the organization of the tour. We are therefore a little surprised that the overall experience with Athens Soul Travel was rated with only three stars. As clearly explained on our website, our itinerary specifies that our driver accompanies you between the sites but does not enter the archaeological sites with you, as he is not an official licensed guide. The crowds, heat, traffic, and the amount of walking required at Athens' archaeological sites are also factors beyond our control and are not related to the service provided by our company. We truly appreciate your feedback, but we feel that the three-star rating does not reflect the experience you actually had with Athens Soul Travel. Nevertheless, we wish you all the best and hope to welcome you back to Athens one day, when we would be happy to show you another side of our beautiful city, perhaps better suited to your expectations. My cruise had a stop in Athens and I wasn’t really sure what to do. There were so many options that I didn’t want to miss anything that mattered to me, yet also wanted to see some thing’s I didn’t know about. My travel agent recommended Athens Soul Travel through Antonis… and that may have resulted in the best decision of my trip. Early on, he reached out to find out our interests and recommended some other things based on those interests. Best part, he has pre-planned excursions if you don’t know anything about Athens, but he can also scrap that and create a completely customized excursion based on your wants. Ultimately, we got an incredible unique experience that allowed us to see all the historical sites, try Greek wines, and dine on authentic Greek food. I highly recommend Antonis for any excursions you want to take in Athens.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review and for choosing Athens Soul Travel. It was a pleasure getting to know your interests and creating a truly personalized experience for you. I’m very happy you enjoyed discovering Athens’ history, Greek wines, and authentic Greek food. Thank you again for your kind words and recommendation. I hope to welcome you back to Athens someday!
