I had an amazing day! The tour was incredible and all the activities were fun. The guides were really nice and gave us lots of information about the place as well. The snorkeling was great and the reef’s life is beautiful. it is something I would definitely recommend.

My figure was cut by shipwreck. If someone checked evey tourist to make sure they wore gloves, the trip would be perfect

This is an unforgettable life experience. My family love Morten Island for its Kayak, snorkeling and sand-boarding.

Moreton Island Trip is a great day trip from Brisbane

We had a great time! Guides were great and we saw so many things! Sandboarding was so much fun. Kayaking and snorkeling was great! So many fish and the sunken ships were amazing. Lunch was nice and fresh. Overall a great day!

It was fun, but harder than I thought.

There were about 21 participants in total. The guides were all in English, so we could barely understand them as we were not good at English, but we managed to enjoy the flow and atmosphere around us. But I had a little anxiety throughout (laughs). I go to the reception desk about 15 minutes before the meeting time and pay $85 per person. We gave them $180 for two and they gave us change. Here you can also fill out the consent form. Then drive to the ferry dock. Coffee and snacks are also available on the ferry, so breakfast can be served here. When you get to the island, change to a car and go to the dunes. It's quite a rattling road, but it was fun, like Disney's Indiana Jones attraction! The sand dunes are just windy, and sand is everywhere. Sunglasses are essential, and it is recommended to put your phone in a waterproof case. Be careful that you may also drop or break items in your pocket. Sandboarding requires momentum to run well. If you can't ski, it's safer not to force yourself to stick around and get up and go back immediately. It's dangerous to flounder along the way, as people are slipping behind you one after another. You can try about three times, but climbing the dunes over and over was pretty hard (laughs). After that, we moved to the beach for lunch. It was a very good wrap sandwich, with tomatoes, salad, chicken and various sauces wrapped around it. Snorkeling in the afternoon. Wearing wetsuits and other gear, about six people are held onto a boat that has been connected to a jet ski and taken near the wreck. If you are unsure of swimming here, we definitely recommend you rent a life jacket. I didn't really listen to the explanation and didn't borrow it, but I lost my strength along the way, so I asked my instructor for help and borrowed a float. They were so kind to me and really helpful. I really enjoyed seeing so many fish up close! However, the weather was not so good on that day, and the sea was a little muddy. When I got out of the sea it was quite cold with strong winds plus sleety rain. I hurried back to my car and changed. There was also a toilet nearby, so some people changed there. After that, we were planning to kayak, but we decided not to participate because of the cold and physical condition. There was no other group participating. Too bad I wanted to participate if the weather was good! I wasn't sure if I would see a sea turtle. Overall, the staff was cheerful and explained it well, and it seemed like a lot of fun. If I had understood English better, I would have enjoyed it even more. Even if you are not good at English, you can participate in the activity itself, but the activity uses more energy than you think. If you are not confident in your physical strength or swimming ability, you need to be a little careful. Still, we were glad to be part of it, as we were able to experience so much in one day!

Fantastic Trip!

Thoroughly enjoyed this trip! I was a bit apprehensive after reading some reviews, however this trip did not feel rushed at all! This may be because we went in August (so Queensland’s winter) but the tour didn’t feel too busy. Food was good, with falafel as an option if you’re veggie. If you’re booking last minute it’s worth checking the weather, we booked ahead and it fell on a very windy day with spots of rain. If it’s windy I would recommend long trousers and a jacket for sand boarding as when you’re stood waiting to board the sand against your skin can feel brutal! Also make sure you have sunglasses other people had swimming goggles on and bandanas across their mouths which was a good idea. Guides were fabulous and activities were fun and all just long enough. Would absolutely book again on a sunny day!

Excellent day trip to see beautiful sights and unique ecology, worth the money!

Very memorable day! In a 3-week trip down under this was my favorite trip. Do be prepared to spend a lot of the time in transit but it is an offshore island. Writing this review mostly to give shout outs to the GUIDES - Kyle and Jason (I think?), I don't know how they wrangled such a mixed group of swimmers out there around the wrecks but they were incredible! Not sure why non-swimmers would even sign up to snorkle off shore but these guys did everything great - kept things moving along and everyone was very safe at all times. Instructions and directions were clear and they had a great handle on a large, mixed ability group of visitors for all three activities. To the company - time to put some of that money back into your gear - replace your worn out (shredded wetsuits) equipment and gear please! Overall excellent trip.

Great fun and Island experience for a single day trip!

Sunset Safaris trip to Moreton Island was well worth it! Our tour guides were great and kept a close eye on everyone making it feel safe. The overall feel of the trip was lively and fun. My favorite part was the sand boarding and my wifes was the snorkeling.

An Unforgettable Moreton Island Adventure!

The Moreton Island day trip was absolutely spectacular! Snorkeling around the Tangalooma wrecks was an unforgettable experience—the sunken ships have transformed into thriving coral reefs, surrounded by an incredible variety of fish. It was every bit as impressive as our Great Barrier Reef experience. Sandboarding was another highlight, racing down the steep dunes at speeds of up to 30 km/h—it was such a thrill! From start to finish, the day exceeded all expectations. A huge thank you to Liam and Josh, who were friendly, knowledgeable, and always happy to help. Their enthusiasm and great service made an already amazing day even better. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend this tour!
