Lucas was a great host - walking us from one tasty food stop to the next ( all in the same neighborhood - so very easy walk) and telling us about each dish we tried. Yummy food, great guide, fun neighborhood - all thumbs up! (And if you walk away hungry, it’s your own fault. We were stuffed! 😊)

We loved our tour with Bernardo! He was so kind and knowledgeable. I don't think I have ever learned so much information on a food tour as I did during this one. For each dish and dish origin location, he shared so much history and culture. It was wonderful getting to try several Afro-Brazilian dishes given that the tour I believe is in a predominantly Afro-Brazilian neighborhood. 10/10 would recommend!

This is an interesting neighborhood that we wouldn’t have seen otherwise on our short trip to Rio. We appreciated Catarina’s great descriptions and conversation. It was an enjoyable afternoon.

A very nice and relaxant food experience in the african root of Rio de Janeiro. Our guide, Bernardo, was very nice. His stories took us in many places in Brasil and, yes, I will visit next time Baxia and Salvador to go deeper in those stories. Thank you Bernardo.

Catarina was amazing! Incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. Taught us so much about the culture and history of Brazil, answered all of our questions and genuinely made our experience very worth it! Highly recommend! And the food we tried was delish

It’s a food lover’s heaven , 4 different restaurants around the same area from appetizers to desserts we love it and were stuffed

The food tour with Catarina was amazing! She was so welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring throughout the entire experience. Every place that she chose had authentic and delicious food. She even included alcoholic beverage that was super delicious and it's not easy to get me to drink lol. We both loved it. We walked through neighborhoods after each stop and she shared great cultural insights along the way. She has a lot of knowledge about the history of Rio de Janeiro. And she speaks 3 languages. Pretty Impressive!!! Catarina is very friendly, she opened up right away and made us feel very comfortable. We had a great time with Lucas on the food tour! Everything was delicious and it was great to get a variety of meals and learn about their origins. All of the restaurants were very close together, so a very accessible option.
