The museum is well worth a visit but is overcrowded. The ticketing process through the Tripadvisor site is a complete shambles. There were 3 of us and we each paid 38$. I printed off what were supposedly to be the entry tickets for an 1130 entrance only to find that on trying to enter the QR code and reference details were not acknowledged by the system. After 30 minutes the very kind and efficient ticket office personnel - 2 of them - managed to issue us with replacements. If we had bought tickets on the day they were only €24 each.
Dear JontyKay, Thank you for your feedback. However, we would like to clarify how our ticketing process works. As clearly stated across multiple sections of the product description, the document provided initially is a voucher, and the actual entry tickets are sent separately via email. If a few moments had been taken to read the clear instructions provided on the listing before booking, this confusion could have easily been avoided.
I don't see the point in buying the ticket through a tour operator when it can be purchased on the museum's own website for much cheaper. I thought that the purchase on Tripadvisor with Viator included a guided tour. My mistake.
