We had an excellent tour of the Fes Medina with Adil. He was very friendly and checked what we wanted to see and made sure the itinerary fitted our interests. Adil is genuinely born and bred in the medina and still lives there. He knows everyone! We saw things we would have missed on our own e.g. the little communal bakery and Adil helped us get the best photos. You definitely need a tour guide for the medina. It is so easy to get lost (we did on our own later on!) . We were only in Fes for a short time but with Adil we made very good use of the time we had.

Adil was great. We were 4 of us and the medina is a maze, no way we find half of it alone. He took us to the tannery and the actual workshops, and kept the hustlers off us which alone was worth it. No shop detours, no pressure. Book him

Adil is a resident of old Medina and no one can be a better guide than him as he literally grew up playing in the streets. He even showed us his house and there was not a single vendor who didn’t know him. If I am not mistaken his forefathers have lived in this neighborhood going back 200+ years. Besides these basic facts, Adil is a gem of a person and you will feel like you are walking with your family friend.

I recommend Adil without any hesitation to discover the medina of Fez. From the start, everything was very easy: he is simple to reach, the meeting point was easy to find, and Adil speaks perfect French, as well as several other languages. But above all, Adil knows the medina like the back of his hand! He lives there, he grew up there, and could probably walk through it with his eyes closed. He doesn't just show you around the medina: he helps you discover it through someone who knows it deeply and who understands its life, history, and culture. I also really appreciated his ability to adapt. If you have already visited certain places or if you have specific interests, he easily adjusts the route so that the experience is truly personalized. Adil is very professional, but also warm, respectful, and deeply human. You can feel the importance of family to him and the pleasure of sharing his city with others. I really had an excellent time in his company and I am very happy to have discovered the medina of Fez with him. Thank you, Adil, for this magnificent tour. Adil has a heart of gold, he is a kind man, loving father, and excellent tour guide. By the end of our time together he had been all 3 as he showed us his beautiful city. He showed us his family home and took us to a local spot for delicious tea. Here is where we learned that not all Moroccan mint tea is created equal. He listened to what we have done so far in our 6 city tour of Morocco and modified our day to maximize the experiences we haven’t seen while leaving space for tours in our future cities. We were particularly impressed with his English and extensive friendship with everyone in the souks. People would stop to say hi to him and then be on their way. We were taken care of, never hassled, and were able to take many photos because shop owners knew him. Going with Adil is the only way to see the Medina. One of his dreams is to open a guest house. When that happens, we look forward to being his first customers.

Look no further! I can’t imagine a better guide, a kinder more generous host than Adil. He has such a passion for this culturally rich city in which he was born. He even took us to his childhood home and past his elementary school. Adil is well versed in the history of Fez but equally he shares the hidden gems…the off the beaten path local treasures like the best tea shop or lunch spot. Even after our tour ended he booked us a dinner reservation and arranged for someone from the restaurant to pick us up to ensure we didn’t get lost in the Medina. We started the day with the best tour guide in Fez and ended the day with a new friend. Thank you for everything, Adil!
