Tour guide didn't arrived to meeting point. When we was already waiting him there when he wrote on watsapp that the price he want is higher and he can't this day, trying to change dates! After that he canceled our refund an now I'm fighting to have my money back!!!!

Great experience from start to finish, the motorbike ride to the top was an experience in itself! Gustavo was an amazing guide and spoke excellent English, loved the dancing and acrobatic show and the walk back through the favela showed a real insight into daily life, we finished off with a meal at a great restaurant.

Rocinha is a beautiful, safe, yet widely misunderstood place filled with wonderully kind people that is really worth visiting. The tour's program is diverse, including an exciting motorcycle ride to the top, a lively Capoeira show performed by the local kids, and a whole lot of information about the history of this favela and what life is like in it, all interspersed with stunning views and a whole lot more. Gustavo was an excellent guide who was friendly, communicative, highly knowledgeable, and always happy to answer any questions one might have. My friend and I found the tour through YouTube videos of people who had visited. Gustavo was very friendly and the tour was well organised with the pick up items / locations and communication. My friend and I felt very safe and included all day. Gustavo talks you through each part of the favela and allows to ask as many questions as you wish. Would highly recommend if you ever find yourself in Brazil 😊

It was an amazing experience to go visit the rocinha favela with Gustavo. Where we explored how they are living out there and get to see a live show of capoeira marital art dance. We visited Rocinha and also hiked Doïs Irmas. With Gustave you are sure to be with the best possible guide for these tours. Regarding the visit of Rocinha you are 100% safe with Gustave, he makes sure that everything is ok for you, he really cares that you feel good with him and that you are really comfortable. He gave us a really complete tour of the favela, he says that “if you don’t visit rocinha coming to rio, it’s as if you’ve never been to Brazil” and this sentence is true. We must definitely come and see this side of Rio, we ended this visit by telling ourselves that in France we complain while we clearly live in luxury, here they do everything to get by and to support their families. For the hike Gustavo was very patient with us, we were more than 1 hour late because of the traffic and he still agreed to wait for us to make us discover this hike. For those who are not used to walking; do not worry Gustavo really takes the time to take breaks so that everyone can take the time they need. I recommend Gustavo to anyone who wants to visit various places in Rio feeling safe and especially very knowledgeable. (For French who have a fairly low level of English; don't worry Gustavo is very easy to understand in English and he really takes the time to try to make himself understood if you ever experience difficulties)
