Definitely a must do in Charleston. We absolutely loved this experience. Very informative while touring the downtown. We loved all of it Our horse “Tom” was the best We also enjoyed our tour guide Emerson Thanks for a wonderful experience!

Only carriage company you should book!
We LOVED Old South Carriage Ride. We had Mike and Eli for a ride during Labor Day weekend. Our guide was funny, informative and taught us all the history of what we were seeing in a really relaxed way. Our tour took us through the neighborhoods with the most interesting architecture and structural nuisances. Great tour for a part of town we would have typically not visited. (The routes are chosen randomly, and not by the guides, so best not to have your heart set on one particular area). The thing that impressed us the most is the great care that Old South takes with their horses. They pay great attention to the animals and are on top of attending to their food and water needs. Never is the same horse sent out for a second tour (that we saw) during the extreme heat over the weekend. Other carriage companies kept their horses standing in the hot sun until they got riders. Would highly recommend Old South for many reasons.

Haunted Carriage Ride
We had an amazing time, our guide was amazing!! She handled the horse Cliff and told us all a out the town and haunted stories without missing a beat.

Donald, our guide was knowledgable, witty, professional and wonderful. The company takes amazing care of their beautiful horses. They were a great company to communicate and deal with also.
