Essaouira was lovely to visit and we certainly weren't disappointed that we went there however the start of the trip was totally disaorganised and elements of the trip did not seem to be as advertised. When booking the trip, being picked up at our hotel was part of the consideration and the implication was that this was possible and certainly the booking sheet showed our hotel as the pick up point. When checking our pick up time I was then informed that we had to go to fairly local McDonalds to be picked up. This we did, but about 20mins before our pick up time we get called by a driver asking us where we were, we were there but he had gone to a different McDonalds. His English wasn't great and he became a little aggressive when trying to establish where we were. We finally got picked up and taken to a central meeting point. People kept being moved from one minibus to another and it was hard to be certain you were on the right tour. The tour bus left over an hour late. We had booked an English speaking tour but were the only English speakers on the bus. Our minibus driver was great and made sure we knew when to be where at each of the stops. The tour information mentions a walking tour of the medina and then free time, so we anticipated being guided round the old town etc but as it was we were dropped off and left to our own divises. Overall it was worth the visit but this tour company seemed very disorganised, a bit like paying for a taxi ride there.

I really enjoyed the trip. The means of transport was clean, comfortable, and pleasant. I recommend that everyone try this experience with this agency.

a better experience and very good service

1. The pick-up was supposed to be "in front of their hotel at the designated time", but it was not. I got a WhatsApp message from a number called "Hdida Tours", and I was told to appear at the Café de France 10 minutes before the advertised pick up time (8:20 instead of 8:30). Fine. I appeared there on time, but I wasn't given any name, vehicle details, agency name, or anything else. Plenty of various vans appeared at the same place and time, with many tourists waiting. None of the vehicles was described (they had no destination or agency name written), none of the drivers was looking for their passengers, tourists had to ask drivers if they wanted to find theirs. Not sure how I was supposed to know which car transport is mine. I asked several drivers, and nobody heard of Hdida Tours. The WhatsApp number that messaged me earlier wasn't replying, so I called. Fortunately, the woman answered and sent a driver who took me to another place where I got into another vehicle with the driver Hamid, who was actually one of the first drivers I saw at the Cafe de France and whom I asked whether he was from Hdida Tours. So even the driver did not know who he was looking for, nor for whom he was working. 2. The program itinerary offers a "Guided Walking Tour of the Historic Medina". There is nothing like this provided. You just get a lift to Essaouira and back with a stop at an argan oil coop. That's it. No guide whatsoever. 3. The argan oil coop is interesting in a way that you get to see how they produce the oil. But you can buy the same products by the same coop in Essaouira for cheaper than at the coop. 4. In summary: chaotic, badly organised and nothing interesting. You can go to Essaouira on your own for the same price or less than that.

Do not book any tours with this company. The tour language we chose was English, contrary the two drivers we had spoke little to no English. We were contacted and advised of the meeting location for early morning pick up, my phone started ringing far in advance of the time provided and the person (driver) was very difficult to understand, making us panic - not a great start. We then drove around picking up tour attendees while the driver was arguing on the phone, he hung up on the person - no need to speak the language to identify yelling and arguing. A woman was advised that she was not in our group. She asked the driver three times if he was certain. In broken English, he replied yes. We circled around 15 to 20 minutes later to pick her up. We were then dropped off and advised to get on in another vehicle. Definitely was not an English speaking tour. No information was provided on breaks or argan stop as per the description. When we did stop no time was provided on how long and when asking the driver he was not able to provide a timeline, I am assuming because he did not understand English. At the argan stop, I was using the restroom and my wife chased down the bus as they were leaving without us. Essaouira - Due to the disfunction and uncertainty up to this point, I contacted the tour group number on Whats App to confirm our location and departure time, they stated they would get back to me, the tour was on April 5, 2026, time of writing is April 18, 2026, I will update my review once they get back to me. The uncertainty defiantly weighed on us during our time in Essaouira. I could go on but what is provided is sufficient to validate the disfunction of the tour group. Again, do not book any tours with this company.

Abdul was our personal driver for the day. The car was very clean and air-conditioned. He gave us opportunity to stop for drinks and toilet breaks. When we arrived at our destination, he pointed out areas to go, to get the best sights and food etc. Thank you Abdul for a wonderful day, polite conversation and speaking English. Essaouira will welcome you with cold and charming Atlantic breeze and that moment your memory of Marrakech will fade away. It is a beautiful port town with a clean and long beach. A day stay is must to feel the full glory of Essaouira.
