エディンバラの闇の世界をのぞいてみましょう。陰惨と栄光。幽霊と不気味さ。スコットランドの首都の狂気じみたダークサイドをすさまじく楽しむ2時間のウォーキングツアーです。殺人、怪物、暴力が伝説となっている場所を探索し、エディンバラで最も恐ろしい2つの墓地、オールド・カルトン墓地またはキャンゲート・カークヤードを訪れます。ツアー中は、魔女、死体泥棒、吸血鬼、人食いなど、実際の物語を話し上手なガイドから聞くことができます。

旧市街の大通りであるエディンバラのロイヤル・マイルでガイドに合流し、街のダークサイドを巡るウォーキングツアーに出発します。エディンバラには奇妙な事件が多数あります。殺人、吸血鬼、怪物、さらには人食いといった物語を、地元の人たちは神経質に語り合っています。
この場所で実際に行われた魔女裁判の話など、現実に起きた流血事件や恐ろしい物語をガイドから聞きます。やがて、首の後ろで髪が逆立つのを感じるでしょう。エディンバラ・ベルテーン・ファイヤーフェスティバルなど、独特の儀式に今でも使用されているこの場所について学び、街の景色を360度見渡しましょう。
続いて、エディンバラの恐怖の墓地の1つ、オールド・カルトン墓地に向かいます。悪魔と取引をしたといわれるデイヴィッド・ヒュームが眠る堂々たる墓を見学します。悪名高い死体泥棒のバークとヘアの話も聞けるでしょう。
または、17世紀のキャノンゲート・カークヤード墓地を訪れます。このツアーには、巧妙に演出された仕掛け、怪物の仮面、作り話はありませんので、ご安心ください。
約2時間のツアーの最後は、ロイヤル・マイル近くの地元のパブです。ビールかウィスキーを買って、この好奇心をそそる不思議なツアーの緊張をほぐしましょう。代金はお客様のご負担となります。

I was looking for a good tour of the city that wasn’t “cheesy” and this one fit the bill. There was a lot of history mixed with some interesting stories. We also went to spots in the city that we would not have necessarily known to visit.
The walk was great with plenty of spooky stories and history. Our tour guide James was fantastic! Would pleasantly join another tour with him at the helm. Highly recommended.
