We had an excellent experience on this tour. Good communication prior to the tour and we were picked up on time the morning of the tour. Our guide Osmaro was friendly and knowledgeable. The timing of the hike was perfect - we started relatively early in the morning which meant we had the top almost to ourselves and missed the big groups who were headed up as we descended. Bring some cash with you to buy a chocobanana before you start the descent!
We did the Santa Ana tour with a family group of 22. We had an early prompt pick up time at 5:00 am with our guide Rafael. He’s very knowledgeable and we learn about the history of ES on our drive there, took approximately 2 hours, the hike is challenging from the beginning, helps to wear hiking boots vs regular athletic shoes, because of the many rocks & a wrong step can twist an ankle. The age range from 7-58 years old & we all manage to get up there, some faster than others. Making it to the top is worth the climb. Approximately time to climb two hours going up & two coming down. We’ll be back.

Una buena preparación y el calzado adecuado ayudan a disfrutar el recorrido con mayor comodidad y seguridad, para que la atención se concentre en lo más importante: vivir una experiencia inolvidable. Será un honor recibirlos nuevamente para descubrir juntos nuevos rincones de El Salvador. The tour with Osmaro was incredible from start to finish! Booking (and later adjusting our date) was easy, and the company was communicative before the day of the tour. On the morning of the tour, Osmaro picked us up on time. We were lucky enough to be the only folks on the tour, and Osmaro answered all our questions about El Salvador. He is incredibly knowledgeable about the country and the Santa Ana Volcano. After the hike, he went out of his way to take us to a local place to buy coffee for souvenirs. We had a great time and would absolutely recommend this tour.
This was a fantastic hike! The guide we had was amazing and so knowledgeable about the country and its history. He was a great guide and made us feel comfortable and right at home! I would highly recommend this company for this hike and of their others that they offer.

Excellent tour! There was excellent communication throughout, I was picked up on time, and our guide Rafael, was the best. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. The tour itself was breathtaking. We arrived at the volcano before the rush of tourists and had the place practically to ourselves. Then, we went to a beautiful lake and had lunch. Although not included, the lunch was tasty and there were tons of options to choose from. It was a great day! As a side note, I was a solo traveler, and I was refunded about half the money because other people joined the tour after I booked. Don't be afraid to book by yourself and pay a higher price! This company is very responsible.

Our tour guide Osmaro picked us up from our hotel to start our tour on time. The tour guide was professional, friendly, knowledgeable and we learned a lot of history. The view of the Santa Ana Volcano Early Hike and Coatepeque Lake were breathtaking, it was worth it. Highly recommend it.

Excellent attitude from the tour guide, professional on time scheduling, the car was very clean. Very knowledgeable guide who was willing to work with our wishes for altering the activities (within reason).

10/10!! The was the best excursion I did throughout my time in El Salvador. Osmaro is super friendly and guided us throughout the entire hike and I’m very glad I booked with Osmaro. I would definitely book again.
Would highly recommend this tour. Osmaro was our guide and was so informative. Pick up was punctual and stops were made when asked. The hike itself was not too hard if you are physically fit but could be more difficult for those who are not used to hiking. There is an initial steep incline with terrain changing from forestry to unshaded rocky areas. The views throughout are amazing. Once reaching the crater, it is absolutely worth the hike. The lake is also absolutely beautiful with an opportunity to swim in it.

La caminata tiene ese punto perfecto—te reta lo suficiente para que sientas la emoción subir, y justo cuando llegas al cráter… boom: recompensa total. Esa vista y el lago hacen que todo el esfuerzo se transforme en una sensación increíble, de esas que se disfrutan con cada respiración 😍 Y poder meterte al agua después… es el cierre perfecto, casi como un “reset” que te deja renovado y con ganas de repetir.
