Early Bird Kyoto : 伏見稲荷、二条城＆ゴールデンパビリオン

This tour was perfect for us, as we didn't have much time to spend in the city. We managed to visit three amazing spots in just one morning, yet the pace felt surprisingly relaxed and enjoyable. My absolute favorite was Fushimi Inari; walking through the torii gates was a truly magical experience. Nijo Castle and Kinkaku-ji were wonderful, too! Our guide was fantastic—friendly, easy to talk to, and full of interesting facts about Kyoto. It was a great tour. I highly recommend it!

If you enjoy taking photos while traveling, I think it's definitely worth getting up early. My favorite was Fushimi Inari Shrine. I had wanted to visit it ever since I saw it in a movie, so I was thrilled to be able to take a photo with my friend there!

I've already seen many temples and shrines on my trips around Japan, but this tour was a slightly different experience! The guide not only showed us the tourist spots, but also taught us the history and stories behind each place! We learned about history, but it wasn't stiff or formal, and it was a relaxing and enjoyable tour.

We had a wonderful time on this tour. The itinerary was excellent, and visiting Fushimi Inari early in the morning was definitely a highlight. It was much quieter and more enjoyable without the crowds. The Golden Pavilion and Nijo Castle were also beautiful, and we really enjoyed learning about the history and culture of Kyoto along the way. Everything was well organized from start to finish. Highly recommend this tour if you want to see some of Kyoto’s most famous sights in a short amount of time!

This was one of the highlights of our trip to Kyoto. Everything was very well organized, and visiting Fushimi Inari early in the morning was definitely the right choice. Being there before the crowds arrived made the experience so much more enjoyable and peaceful. The Golden Pavilion and Nijo Castle were also fantastic, and the whole itinerary was very well balanced. We never felt rushed, but we were able to see so many beautiful and historic places in one morning. Our guide was excellent — friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful throughout the tour. They explained the history and culture in a way that was easy to understand and made the experience much more interesting. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Kyoto, especially if it’s your first time. Great organization, great itinerary, and an unforgettable experience!

I hesitated at the 6am meeting time, but it made the whole tour. We reached Fushimi Inari Shrine before the crowds arrived, so we had long stretches of the thousand torii gates almost to ourselves — great for photos and for actually taking in the atmosphere. Our guide explained the history behind the torii donations and Inari worship, which added a lot of context beyond just walking through. Nijo Castle came next, and we got a proper explanation of the ornate sliding-door paintings in the Ninomaru Palace and the "nightingale floors" designed to warn of intruders. Being there ahead of the bigger tour groups meant we could actually linger and look closely instead of shuffling through. We finished at Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion) right as the morning light hit the reflecting pond — the kind of shot you just don't get later in the day once the crowds show up. Transitions between the three sites were smooth with almost no downtime, so we covered a lot in half a day without feeling rushed. Wear comfortable shoes; there's a fair amount of walking. If you're worried about Kyoto's famous crowds ruining your photos or your experience, this early-bird format solves that problem completely.

I highly recommend this tour! Miki, the guide, was incredibly kind and knowledgeable, and shared so much information about Kyoto. I’ll definitely book a tour with them again next time I visit!
