We made a fantastic bike tour through Kyoto with our guide Cassiano. He was very friendly and informative and knew so much to tell. He lives near Kyoto himself, which allowed him to show the city and its surroundings from a very personal perspective. The electric bikes were of very good quality and made the trip comfortable and relaxed. They are a must for the rather tiring 44km. We came across quite a few beautiful places that we probably wouldn't have seen otherwise. A beautiful and varied tour, with a great guide. Definitely a recommendation if you want to discover Kyoto in an active way!

This was definitely one of the best tours I’ve been on. Biking through Kyoto was a real experience and we got to see so much of Kyoto and the neighborhoods between. I would highly suggest this for a great introduction tour of Kyoto. We went to 5 major stops listed, but there was so many shrines and temples that you can only see by being on a bicycle going between places. Our guide was Robb and he really knew the area, talking with locals, leading us through many places in Kyoto like the rice fields, rivers, and neighborhoods you would never see in a bus or train. Kyoto has so many temples and charm that you don’t see without going on a bike ride. The ride was 27 miles in 8 hours on mostly easy terrain. Nothing that can’t be impossible on and my 71 year old mother was able to do it with the electrical bike option. Lunch was filling and delicious, while breaks included ice cream and local coffee/matcha shops. The crowds were easy and Robb kept us from the busy streets. I would also recommend wearing some sunscreen even on cloudy days as you are outside most of the day. We came back realizing our Irish skin was looking pretty red.

I’ve done cycling tours all over the world, and this was hands down the best cycling tour I’ve ever done. What really sets this tour apart is Rob. He takes his role as a guide incredibly seriously, and it shows from start to finish. He is extremely knowledgeable, engaging throughout the entire tour, and has such a great way of bringing each historic area we visited to life. Rather than simply giving you facts, he tells the stories behind the places in a way that is interesting, memorable, and genuinely enjoyable. The whole experience was fantastic from beginning to end. A 10/10 tour, without question. More than anything, if you’re considering booking this tour, I would 100% recommend asking for Rob. He is genuinely the best tour guide I’ve ever had, and he made the experience one we’ll remember for a long time. Couldn’t recommend him highly enough! - Tara 🇮🇪

Exploring a city by bike lets you experience it in a completely different way, and this fantastic tour proved exactly that! It was a very hot day, but being on the bike gave us a refreshing breeze along the way. We had an amazing guide, Cas, who was knowledgeable, kept a great pace, and made the tour both fun and informative. We had a wonderful day cycling past Kyoto's highlights (and Cas showed some hiden gems as well). This is a tour you absolutely shouldn't miss!

Today we went on a trip with Rob! It was 36 degrees and full sun but we were not bored for a moment. Rob knows exactly when to drink or when we needed a little break. It is a tough trip but really worth it. You have seen ale highlights in 1 day. And Rob knows an awful lot about the history and background of all the things we visited. That made it extra fun. We also had a really great meal.

Had anWe had a blast on the full-day Kyoto bike tour! Our guide, Rick, was awesome. He was super friendly, really knew his stuff, and kept a great pace for everyone in the group. Biking to spots like the Golden Pavilion and the Bamboo Forest was such a fun experience. Loved Rick's energy and all the cool local history he shared along the way. Definitely recommend this tour (and Rick!) if you want an active and fun way to see the city. amazing time. Rick was great!

It was a beautiful day with Cas. Super guide. We were with family, youngest 16. Went fine on normal bike despite it being very hot. En route enough places for water. Along nice and beautiful places in kyoto.

Our full day bike tour was on May 22, 2026. There were six people total in our group, including my family of three adults. Rick was an amazing guide, very informative, and took great care of everyone. This is the best way to see a lot of Kyoto in one day. We got really lucky with beautiful weather. The bikes were in good shape, and I had an e-bike, which was well worth the extra cost. Rick made sure that everyone got a picture at each stop. A delicious lunch was included. The full day bike circuit of Kyoto that included just about everything you would wish to see was tremendous and superbly lead by Rick. He lead me through a labyrinth of mainly back streets with safety being his upmost priority. His deep knowledge of every place visited provided an enormous insight into Japanese culture and Kyoto history. One of the best tours of the many I have done around the world. Highly recommended. 10 out of 10!

We had an absolutely fantastic full-day bike tour of Kyoto. It was the perfect way to see so much of the city while avoiding the crowds and learning about Kyoto’s history and culture. Case was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the day both informative and fun.
