Fun cooking class with an open and friendly, well-speaking English family. Durga taught us a lot about making chai, masalas, and chapatis and we got the recipes.

Our experience was extremely delightful. To start with - the location is very easy to find on Google maps. We were welcomed very warmly by the family to own the home stay and host the cooking sessions. After a quick chat and discussion on what we would like to learn ( and eventually eat 😊 ) we dived straight into the cooking experience. It’s a simple homely set up - since it was just our family at this booking, our kid enjoyed the most as he got to be involved in all the steps throughout the process. We highly recommend Durga’s Culinary experience , not just for NRIs and Foreigners but also for Resident Indians visiting from other cities. It’s a must have local experience ! PS : the food was soooo delicious

Durga and her family were excellent hosts. They welcomed us into their home and Durga taught us how to cook some typical Indian recipes. Chapati, basmati, curry, and masala chai are prepared by the participants under the careful supervision of Durga, who directs the work. What is prepared is eaten in the common area of the house in a convivial and informal setting. No one rushed us; in fact, we were invited to stay even after lunch to take shelter from the rain that had started to fall in the meantime. In short, an authentic experience with authentic people in a corner of India that left us with an indelible memory. Highly recommended!!

When you are in Udaipur, it is not a question of if, but when to book a cooking class at Durga. It was sincerely the very best experience of our trip! We had a lot of fun preparing the most delicious dishes together. From the first moment you feel completely at home in the kitchen. The atmosphere is wonderfully relaxed, cozy and very accessible. As a wonderful extra surprise I even got a henna from Durga at the end of the evening. An unforgettable experience that I 100% recommend to everyone. Don't miss this when you're in town!

Just completed this course. Great fun and enjoyable. We learned to much and then had the fun of eating our food for lunch. A very friendly and hospitaly teacher

My daughter recommended this as a Must when visiting Udaipur and she was not wrong. This was a real highlight and great fun. We also learned a lot and can’t wait to try out these recipes on our friends when we get home.

We had a lovely experience at our cooking class yesterday. From the minute we walked in there was a very welcoming atmosphere and the whole family is lovely. Durga was a great teacher and was so patient and kind. The food we made was amazing and we had so much fun making it! A great introduction to Rajastani cooking! If you’re in Udaipur, this activity is a must.
