He was knowledgeable, professional, and incredibly welcoming from the moment he picked us up. The tour of Peles Castle, Brasov, and Bran Castle was well organized and packed with fascinating history and beautiful scenery. Chip provided great context at every stop and helped us appreciate details we would have otherwise missed. His vehicle was clean and comfortable, and he even stocked it with drinks and local Romanian snacks for the journey. What stood out most was how personalized the experience felt. We had a very interesting and enjoyable day out from Bucharest seeing Peles Castle, Brasov and Bran (Dracula) Castle. 12 hours all in all. Peles Castle was for sure the highlight - an amazing place. Brasov is a beautiful town and Bran, well it’s iconic isn’t it?! Our guide John was very attentive and made sure we got there and back safely. He also ensured we got special attention, eg got to the front of the English guided tour at Peles, got us a great table for lunch in Brasov town square, and got me around the rather claustrophobic spiral staircase at Bran so that I didn’t miss out on all of the upper floor exhibits. He was kind and informative and saw to our every need. Thanks Bogdan and John for a memorable day.

He was so communicative and thoughtful from the start, tailoring the experience perfectly to what we were most interested in. Our tour lasted basically the whole day, and we saw everything we hoped for and more: both Peles and Bran Castles, the charming town of Brasov, and even the spots where they filmed Wednesday and Borat. John’s knowledge of history was incredible — we basically got a private tour inside Peles Castle, which made the experience so much more special. One of the reasons I chose this tour was because it included guaranteed castle tickets, and I’m so glad it did. On one of the busiest days of the year, John navigated traffic like a pro, and we even got to skip the line at Bran Castle, saving at least an hour! I can’t imagine we’d have had anywhere near as much time or flexibility on a large coach tour. The personalization, attention to detail, expert navigation, and John’s genuine kindness and experience made the whole day exceptional. He seemed to know everyone everywhere we went, which made us feel completely at ease and in great hands. He even surprised me with Halloween roses at the end of the tour — such a thoughtful and memorable gesture. Also, a small but important detail — he always knew where to find the best restrooms, which is key on a long day of sightseeing! All in all, this was one of the best tours I’ve ever taken. It felt like traveling with a local friend who knows all the history, the hidden gems, and the people. Highly, highly recommend — 10/10, ask for John!

My wife and I settled on the 2 day tour to Brasov offered by Book Tours Romania. We were not disappointed. BTR provided us with a FIRST RATE experience. The process was totally professionally handled from start to finish. All communications were clear and timely. All aspects were professionally addressed. Our trip was detailed out....our tour guide picked us up and for 2 days, provided us with a wonderful Romanian experience....past and present. Nic, our tour guide for the 2 day trip was outstanding and Tour Manager Bogdan S. provided all necessary communications. Really all aspects were seamless. I would recommend BTR to anyone thinking about an in-depth tour.

We did the day trip to Peles/Bran castles and Brasov as well as a full day tour in Bucharest. The communication with Bogdan to make the arrangements was excellent - very prompt, profesional and helpful in organising the schedule to fit in the things we wanted to see allowing for opening days etc. Our guide for the two days was Marcel who was very knowledgeable and charming. We learned a huge amount about all the things we were seeing and he was very good at putting everything in context as well as explaining the complicated history of Romania and contemporary society. He was good company - very charming, helpful and keen to make sure we had a good couple of days. Would thoroughly recommend and would definitely use the firm again.

We had a very long but very enjoyable day out with Bogdan who was the perfect guide. The communication about the trip was excellent and our trip was adjusted to fit in with what we wanted to focus on. We all loved Bran Castle and had a brief stop at Cantacuzino Castle (Netflix "Wednesday" series was filmed there) to break the long drive from Bucharest. We then went onto Brasov Old Town where Bogdan took us to a wonderful restaurant for lunch. Brasov was absolutely stunning and we wish we had planned a night in Transylvania so we had more time to enjoy the town plus see some more of this beautiful part of the country. We would recommend Book Tours Romania and also Transylvania!

My husband and I were very pleased to be able to book a tour on the unlikely day of New Year's Eve! Nick took excellent care of us, providing a most fascinating overview of the history, and answering our endless questions. We very much enjoyed our visit to the beautiful Peles Castle, although for us, Bran Castle was far too touristic, with some forced exhibits to tie in with Dracula and the occult. Yet it still seemed a must to visit that castle just the same, and the area around Bran Castle was fascinating, with many stands selling delicious traditional Romanian snacks such as Sorici. We had a wonderful lunch in lovely Brasov where we discovered the Romanian desert Papanasi. Many thanks again to Nick for his excellent driving, his dedication and enthusiasm, and all of his tips, including his favourite writers!

Marcel is a wonderful guide. His attention to important details and the full story leaves nothing to chance. We truly appreciated his passion for history and eagerness to share it with us. He is a wealth of knowledge. Two of our group were walking challenged and Marcel gave his full attention to that challenge. We recommend Marcel to any group.

We did that tour as we had only one day. We highly recommend this tour but be informed you will be sitting in the car for a big part due to distance and traffic. That aside the day was wonderful. Our guide George was really friendly, passionate, really knowledgeable and interesting to talk to. We had the impression to be on a tour with a friend. Follow the guide advice in term of timing as you can save long time waiting. We also had a great time at lunch and this tour worth every penny paid. If you have more time we would suggest to have a tour on two days to discover the broader region. Whatever your choice is, George is definitely in our top guides and we definitely recommend him to anyone.

I want to thank Bogdan who organized an incredible trip for us and Nic for leading it. We did a tour to Transylvania from Bucharest and it was probably the best guided tour we have ever been on. We had so much fun chatting with Nic and learning from him and his wealth of knowledge. The sites were better than we even thought they would be and it was a wonderful day. They had snacks and water for us in the car which was a thoughtful addition. It could not have been better - I will tell all of my friends traveling to this part of the world to check out all of the tour options Bogdan and his company are offering.
