Overall, an enjoyable experience. The staff was friendly and informative. There was plenty of time to enjoy each location with zero stress.
The tour itself exceeded our expectations. Very beautiful and interesting. A total 5 stars! The communication about meeting places, etc and the vehicle were great. Unfortunately our tour guide Paula was sweet but she spoke such limited English that we received no information about what we were seeing. She actually texted photos of the sites as a way of sharing information. Thus, the low stars… I highly recommend the destination, but try a different tour group if you want any information about what you’re seeing.
Interesting tour even if a bit long overall
We have seen all the sight-seeing places and are generally satisfied with this tour. At the top of Doi Inthanon, very foggy and windy - difficult to have a nice view on surroundings. Waterfalls are wonderful, the time stop was reasonable. The lunch provided by the tour guide was delicious. Not too much information about Thailand's history or culture itself from the guide, otherwise the cultural part is mostly visiting coffee/fruit shops and rice plantation.
Guide was very friendly and helpful. She advised me to buy a cheap raincoat before going to the highest peak in Thailand, and sure enough, it started raining hard. Tour was an interesting combination of short walks to waterfalls and monuments, to visits to local artisans and coffee growers to sample their wares. Lunch was in the middle of a rice field, which was cool. Would have enjoyed a little hike into the park.
Visit #1 in Chiang Mai and it is totally deserved. Do it at night to enjoy the lights, and the contrast between the gold and the night, plus the view of the city lights
It was a good experience overall. We visited all the places listed in the itinerary. The lunch was delicious, and the portions were generous. The only issue was with the driver. Sometimes, we couldn’t understand what he was saying, and we couldn’t hear him clearly. He gave instructions from inside the van, but the people sitting in the back couldn’t hear him.
Unfortunately the weather was really bad, but the tour guide did a very good job of taking care of everyone.
Our guide was friendly and very professional. The day is long but engaging with local discovery. Remember to bring warm clothes and a change of clothes in case of rain...
Our guide Nami was quite organized and informative. We got to spend the right amount of time at each site. It was nice that they gave us an option to skip the pagodas on a rainy foggy summit and get our money back on that portion. Everything worked well.
