Me and my partner had a wonderful experience on this tour! Todd was incredible, friendly and so full of knowledge about the city and about the food we had! We had many different types of food and would totally book this again!
Irina is an amazing tour guide. We sampled a variety of unique foods common to the native Amsterdam citizen. She also knew her history and other facts about the food and tour sites. We got to experience dutch cheese, stroopwaffles, fries, apple pie and brandy. We toured an old beautiful little church, quiet court yard, food market and other areas while walking past neighborhoods and the royal palace. I've taken a food tour before in this city about 7 years ago and didn't have as much fun as I did with Irina.
Our tour guide Irina really made this tour exceptional! I've actually been on a food tour in Amsterdam before 7 years ago that felt uncomfortable at the time. This tour was exactly the opposite of that one. Irina was personable, knowledgeable and tailored the tour to our interests. The foods we tried were very different to us which we loved. Stroopwaffles, fries, herring, dutch cheese, apple pie...and quiet places, active markets, a very old church, chocolate shop, cheese shop, ECT. I highly recommend this tour. You will get to try foods that the regular person eats that lives in this unique city will experiencing the atmosphere and pace of life.
This food tour was great! We ate a variety of foods and learned tons about Amsterdam! The food included cheese, fries, delicious Suriname foods, and ended with amazing apple pie! I highly recommend the tour and Todd. He shared so much history it really aged to the experience.
Todd was spectacular! He blended the food experience with history lessons in between that really tied the entire story together. We also tried a new type of food at the Surinamese restaurant he took us to that was incredible!
Fair amount of walking on uneven surfaces if that's a concern. Lots of good do come hungry. Our guide, Keeps, was very knowledgeable both on food and Amsterdam history.
The tour was a fantastic view into life in Amsterdam. Our guide, Kees, was informative and enthusiastic, making for a fun outing. Would definitely recommend!

Todd was a great guide - he read our interests really well. He gave us a perfect (for us) blend of the history of Amsterdam, physical layout of the historical center and tasty snacks folded into it all, most of which we wouldn't have known to try.
