Our tour guide was great, with lots of interesting facts & some funny jokes too! We could easily have stayed there an additional hour. Wish the tour had started at 10am instead of 11am. Mount Vernon was gorgeous & a must-see!
*My only complaint is a big one: One or more of the seats in the van had no WORKING seat belt. There was LITERALLY NOTHING to plug the seatbelt into!! That is a HUGE safety risk. Please fix this & make sure ALL passengers are safe from serious injury or death in case of an accident. They DO happen, ya' know.🫤

Hot and crowded
The air-conditioning in the van driving us to Mount Vernon was not working well and it was very hot. Once you get to Mount Vernon, you’re on your own, so it depends on the crowds. We had about three hours at Mount Vernon, which was really not enough because there’s lots to see.

Do not book this tour….
I am currently on the bus to the Mt Vernon. I’m sweating in the back seat. No A/C back here and the seat is bumpy. I am dripping with sweat.

Amazing experience!
Don’t miss the home of George and Martha Washington. So much great information to learn here. The walk to his tomb and the Potomac River were beautiful. Martha’s house garden was amazing! All the animals were just a reminder of how special the place really was to them.
