Legend was a great tour guide. My 13-year-old said Legend didn’t seem like a tour guide. It felt like we were touring with a friend. The ride was very safe and comfortable. We learned so much. Lunch was delightful. I especially liked the second part where the carvings were older. Thank you for a great experience! ITA: My husband and I visited the Dazu and Baoding Mountain Carved Stone sites with our guide Legend (宫立劲). The guide picked us up from our hotel promptly at the time agreed upon the previous day. His car was new, very clean, and comfortable. Legend was always kind, helpful, and attentive to our needs. His English is much more than fluent and correct, which allowed us to communicate easily throughout the day. He accompanied us throughout the visit and provided us with detailed and interesting explanations about the two sites, allowing us to better understand their history and significance. For our lunch break, he took us to a local restaurant, where we tried a version of hot pot very different from the one we had seen up to that point, prepared with vegetables, tofu, and river fish. It was a very pleasant experience from a gastronomic point of view as well. At the end of the day, he took us back to the center of Chongqing and, as we requested, dropped us off at a different location than our hotel. It was a wonderful experience: we were able to visit these marvelous sculptures at our own pace, without rushing, accompanied by a patient, competent, and always available guide. Must do in Chongqing! Legend contacted me shortly after booking with contact info and pick up instructions. He was very puntual. Car was perfect and 2hr drive went by very fast. Legend shared A LOT of information not only about Dazu but also China, which was fascinating for us. We’re not English native speakers, so his perfect American accent made it so easy for us to understand. Lunch was AMAZING! Delicious hot pot. And both sites visited were truly wonderful. Would do it again and recommend it!

Enjoyed our tour very much! Legend is very knowledgeable and keen on sharing all about the history of the Dazu rock carvings. The lunch spot was great, with locally sourced ingredients, and since we weren't really into the hot pot meat, we had tofu instead - equally tasty! We plan on visiting China again and will definitely be booking a tour with Legends once more!

Excellent excursion and guide. The explanation and details provided by the guide enriched the visit of cultural value. The sculptures carved in stones are very interesting and are preserved despite the time. The guide included a delicious and healthy traditional meal with a local family. Legend has a very deep knowledge and made our trip very enjoyable. He speaks English fluently. It was also very nice to try the local fresh cuisine for lunch. He also made us very comfortable throughout the trip. Highly recommended!

We were lucky to have Legend as our driver-guide again for this tour. Dazu has magnificent carvings, which we appreciated all the more because of Legend’s deep knowledge of Buddhism and local history. Lunch was again very tasty - this time it was a local fish hotpot. Definitely would recommend.

Legend was extremely knowledgeable and gave us a fantastic experience of the Dazu Rock Carvings. He took us through a secret path to avoid queues and tourist traps. The car we were driven in was quite comfortable. As for the lunch, we went to a small family owned place and tried hot pot for the first time.

Legend is a great tour guide who drove us safely to Dazu to see the rock carvings at Baoding and Beishan. He kindly explained to us the history and meaning for the shrines. For lunch, we ate suen cai yu (酸菜鱼) at a local restaurant. It was really filling and delicious 🤤 You can count on Legend for a great day! 👍
