You are guided safe and secure by a friendly and well informed English speaking guide. He guides you through local markets, places I would never had visited on my own. It gives a good impression how live is in Moshi.

While it was nice to walk through the market with a local, it wasn’t too organized in terms of the pick up as we had 4 people and only one tuk tuk but he did get it sorted. The town does not need much time to tour

Tour guide was punctual and friendly. I enjoyed walking around Moshi and getting to see the markets, train station, and various other sights. The tour guide had expert knowledge of the area as a local and took his time showing me around, answering all my questions and even teaching me a little bit of Swahili!

We took this tour to explore Moshi beyond just seeing Mount Kilimanjaro, and it was the perfect decision. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and showed us all the highlights of the town. The small group size made the experience feel very personal, and the flexible morning pickup was a great convenience. We loved visiting the bustling local market, where our guide explained some of the typical dishes and local produce. Seeing historical spots like the old railway station gave us a deeper appreciation for the town's history. This tour is a great way to experience the culture and charm of Moshi, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to learn more about the area.

Peter was very knowledgeable and the tour was amazing. I loved seeing the markets and the local people. The tour was slow paced based on my fitness level and we saw so much. Highly recommend Peter and the walking tour around Moshi.

Peter was a great guide! He is very personable and knowledgable. After spending time with him, we learned a lot more about the people of Tanzania and Moshi. We explored the many markets of Moshi, the historic train station, and various streets and areas of the city. Peter also is willing to engage and talk about bigger topics about life in Tanzania as well as geo-politics. This made it very interesting as we walked and talked. For my wife and I, we didn't just want to fly into Tanzania to hike Kilimanjaro. We wanted to learn more about the people of Tanzania and were lucky to have signed up for this tour with Peter. Peter was also a guide for hikes up Kilimanjaro for 15 years before he started his tour business which does safari guides.

This tour felt more than just a brief walking tour of Moshi -- the gateway from which thousands of tourists begin and end their Mount Kilimanjaro adventures. Walking around with my guide Peter, I had an opportunity to glimpse daily life, representative, I think, of a vibrant Tanzanian town, which has a life well beyond its link in the tourist economy. Our visits to the food markets, the train station – even to a trekking company, were just the jumping-off points for great conversations and Peter’s cultural insights. It’s a nice way to spend a few hours with a thoughtful local guy who helps you to see the big picture from this modest East African town.
