Check in was easy. Smooth sailing boat for 108 years old, the wildlife and the views were the most memorable. Our guide helped us identify and we got some great pictures. Captain and mate were great, they were very friendly.
Three generations in our group booking with Schooner Surprise and the experience was enjoyable for all of us! Would highly recommend.
Very cool vintage sailboat. Very pretty cruise and nice team on board. Very relaxed vibe, just take in the sights and bring your own booze and food. Bery chill and kickback.
We enjoyed a lovely two hour cruise one evening - from 5:15-7:15. Our cruise included a musician playing acoustic guitar, he was excellent and really added to the peaceful nature of the cruise. We brought our own wine to enjoy. The crew were personable and knowledgeable answering all our questions about the schooner and harbor. So nice that the ship is small limiting the number of passengers. Great way to enjoy the evening!
Our 2-hour sail on the Schooner Surprise is a memorable way to connect with Maine’s long maritime heritage, as well as seeing what makes coastal Maine so special. The couple that owns the Surprise are very approachable/friendly and have been sailing for decades so the definitely know what they are doing. Highly recommended.

The boat and crew were wonderful. Captain and first mate were friendly and informative, let us help if we wanted. Beautiful day, nice breeze. 15 people, not as crowded as some boats. Can’t wait to go again!

The sunset cruise with Capt Taylor and First Mate Margaret was very nice. Just the right amount of commentary and views were spectacular.
The sail was amazing! I enjoyed it even though it was overcast and quite windy. The Captain and his Mate were very friendly and knowledgeable! I got to hoist the sails so that’s off my bucket list! Highly recommend! Jan Drummy Wellesley MA
