Puerto viejo to Bocas Del Toro and back to San Jose - slick, efficient and very helpful with border crossing crossings

Excellent Service. They helped navigate customs very well. It did take us longer than expected due to traffic and waiting on the water taxi. So, you might want to leave the rest of your day/evening open,which will allow you to enjoy your travel. The drivers were friendly and ready to help you. I recommend this service, especially yo ha e the help navigating through customs and the water taxi. Also, you might a folding fan the stop at customs was humid and hot.

On time hotel pickup in Manzanillo, perfect assistance at the Sixaola border crossing, transfer by minibus and boat to Bocas del Toro. Our driver Randall was very nice and showed us a sloth on the way. 😀

It is a crossing where you are well guided from A to Z. Upon boarding the bus until the arrival in Bocas del Torro

We thought we had to meet the shuttle on the main road by our B&B in Cocles (see review for that), but they drove up the road to pick us up right in front of the B&B. We really appreciated that because we didn’t have to drag our luggage down the unpaved road (not that that would have been difficult). This was very convenient. We had read about shuttles leaving people behind if they weren’t at the meeting place within 5 minutes of pick up time, so we were prepared to be on the main road with time to spare. The shuttle was early and waited for us outside our B&B gate. We proceeded to pick up a group of about six more from another lodging, then we were on our way to the border at Sixaola to enter Panama. The assistance paying the Costa Rica exit fee online, crossing the border, going to get our Panama Visa stamps, paying the entrance/exit fee, then meeting our next driver was very helpful. That driver dropped us off right at the dock in Almirante to catch the boat to Bocas Del Toro. We had been given a wristband when we were in the shuttle and this signaled the gal in Almirante that we were with Caribe Shuttle. We wouldn’t have known what to do if we tried to do it all independently. I feel bad that I’ve forgotten our driver’s name. I do recall Kevin who was with the other shuttle van that had others in the big group from the Netherlands that included the six in our van. Highly recommend!

Kevin is the best. 4 times I used their service and Kevin was each time so helpful and super nice. Always on time, van clean, everything is taking in charge by them. We highly recommend Caribe Shuttle!

The Caribe Shuttle is totally worth it! It takes all the hassle and stress out of crossing the Costa Rica/Panama border and getting to Bocas del Toro. Our guide Kevin on the Costa Rica side was great! He made sure that we all know exactly what we needed to do to corss the border. And, he went out of this way to tell us about things to do in both Puerto Viejo and Bocas del Toro. Highly recommend!
