This is an important tour to take. A reminder that ordinary citizens can do extraordinary things to save others during war time.
Our guide was very personable and looked after our small group crossing roads etc. He did not speak very loud and somehow lacked the impactful style of presentation I have experienced on other guided tours. I believe this was the reason two people left the tour and decided o go shopping instead.
Interesting luck. Would have been good to have been able to sit down on a few occasions, when he tells me.
A great experience. Our guide was great. He was fun and knowledgeable about the history of WW II. A great tour of the city. The Corrie Ten Boom house was a bit of a disappointment. There was no one to give a tour of the house.
Much is covered about the life of Corrie Ten Boom. There was not a great deal of walking involved. A lot of information was given. A must for history lovers.
Had a fantastic tour with Manuel, seeing the highlights of Haarlem and diving into the remarkable story of Corrie Ten Boom and her family. Manuel was a terrific guide and the city of Haarlem was beautiful and a nice change after several days in Amsterdam. Reasonable price for the tour. Smaller group that we politely and respectful - no need for speakers or headphones.
We had such a great time! Manuel was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and fun to be with! And even though we had already read the book and watched various shows on Corrie ten Boom, we thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience, and learned even more! I would recommend this to anyone interested in the history of Corrie ten Boom and Haarlem.

Read the Corrie Ten Boom book “The Hiding Place” before the tour, it will add a greater understanding of this already fascinating tour. Highly recommended.
The tour was very interesting in telling the story of the watchmaker and the Ten Boom family. What made the tour so special for us was the incredible tour guide, Manuel. He brought the experience alive to us with his passion and understanding of the history. Thank you!
